We're getting the NWA World Champ, who is someone I don't know or care about. I mean they don't say or show who the guy is. Like people should already know.

Honestly just saying he’s the NWA Champion is a bigger deal than saying it’s Tim Storm since no one outside of some fans in the Deep South know.

I know Billy Corgan owns the fed bit, has the NWA title meant anything since TNA had it in 2007?

It might also look kind of cool to their grand kids and be a good conversation starter. It’s not going to do anything to draw in that coveted 18-34 demographic.

Well, it DID get close with the Pearce/Cabana feud not long ago. Then NWA politics came in and ruined it even though it was genuinely getting people interested in the NWA World title again.

They should have kept it going in Japan a while and done anything NJPW wanted to do to bolster them. I can’t remember how that partnership fell apart, but it’s not like the NWA was in any kind of position to make demands.

Honestly if I was promoting a big card and was unable to get one of the big three World Champions (WWE, NJPW, ROH) then I'd definitely want the NWA World Heavyweight Champion to appear.
Storm is getting a big push in California under the Championship Wrestling From Hollywood banner and managed to appear on Japanese television this year when he defended the NWA World Heavyweight Title. Not a huge star but if he is reasonably priced and you get a World Heavyweight Title match for your card then it's worth it.

TNT is having a training seminar with Jerry Lynn and Earl Hebner. I understand Jerry Lynn but, what can Hebner teach you these days? Also, Tommy Dreamer is coming which means he's going to cry alot. www.triedntruepro.com
