Does he make the top 10? If so then where?

I'd say 5th or 6th
Behind Hogan, Macho, Stone Cold, Rock and Flair

I'd say 5th or 6th Behind Hogan, Macho, Stone Cold, Rock and Flair Add Andre and Warrior and that'd be spot on.

In the UK, Big Daddy and Giant Haystacks would still be among the most famous.

I'd say 5th or 6th Behind Hogan, Macho, Stone Cold, Rock and Flair Add Andre and Warrior and that'd be spot on. Andre is definitely ahead of Undertaker due to his role in The Princess Bride. This compared to Undertaker's role in Suburban Commando.

Taker is one of the most famous here by name recognition here in the UK. When the WWF had its biggest peak over here (1991-93) he was one of the most recognisable wrestlers. A lot of people know him from that period and when I tell people I watch wrestling I frequently get asked if Taker is still wrestling.

Add Andre and Warrior and that'd be spot on. I think Taker is more famous than both of them. Warrior is debatable, but Andre isn't. He was a household name outside of wrestling. My grandma who didn't own a TV knew of Andre.

One of the most famous. I agree that he's behind Hogan, Macho Man, Austin, Rock and Flair. Andre the Giant and Warrior though? It depends. I'm not sure about everyone else but in the Southern US I'm sure I've heard Undertaker more than those 2.

He's probably behind Cena, TBH.

Somewhere in the Top Ten. Hogan, Andre, Savage, Austin, Rock, Flair, Piper rank higher, and maybe Warrior and Slaughter too.

Since my mom who has never liked wrestling (except for 80's Ric Flair) knows who he is and routinely gets him confused with Sting, I'd say definitely top 10.

I somewhat rank wrestlers postmortem by whether my mom asks "did you hear about the wrestler that died?"
By that metric, Macho Man Randy Savage and Rowdy Roddy Piper are household names, while Dusty Rhodes was "that old wrestler"

If you're familiar with wrestling, top ten for sure. If you're not, he's just another "who?" name.

My mom hasn't ever really liked wrestling and thinks it's stupid. But man I told her Piper died and she was devastated. In the same vein as Andre, Piper did ONE big movie and now already has a leg up on people like Stone Cold and Ric Flair to those outside of wrestling.
