Truth be told, part of me is kind of surprised this hasn't happened already. While we all know Heyman's record as a manager for anyone in WWE who isn't Brock Lesnar is not that swift, this was typically a result of booking and writing. But perhaps in the booking/writing environment of NXT, Heyman might flourish. With how NXT seems to get tag team wrestling and women's wrestling right in a way that doesn't happen on the main roster, I'd be quite curious to see how NXT might handle a manager character. And indeed, with so many of the top stars so heavily associated with NXT now moving up to the main roster, it might be a good time for a manager to further shake up the formula. I dare say that, if not Heyman, I could actually envision Truth Martini rocking the house in NXT.

Either with Hideo or Finn(Hopefully him) would be great.

The last manager character they had not named Lana was Sylvester LaFort, and he didn't do that well.
But I wouldn't mind seeing them try with Heyman, and with the right atmosphere it could be interesting.
Hell, I had this mental image a few days ago of Baron Corbin boasting about his toughness one time, and then he gets a surprise match with Lesnar in NXT...so I'm not adverse to Heyman appearing.

Paul Heyman should have more clients, but both WWE AND the fans need to ditch the idea that association with Heyman could/should turn a wrestler into a megastar.

I think Heyman should just be with Brock. He doesn't have that same chemistry with anyone else. Plus I don't want him to get burned out again.
I would love to see them work some people into a manager role but I think that is a hard sell to Vince. Paying someone just to talk seems like something he'd hate.

I feel if he was in NXT, he'd want creative control that he wouldn't likely get. I do hope he goes to chat with up and comers sometimes, as I do know he watches NXT to some extent.
Hero told a story where he was having a conversation with Heyman, who was watching a monitor of the 2/3 falls match between Zayn and Cesaro, and the conversation was going smoothly until he went silent in shock at the between-the-ropes tornado DDT, in astonishment.

The reason why it works with Brock is because Brock is as good, and is booked as being as good, as the hype Heyman gives him.
That's also the reason why it hasn't really worked with anyone else in the E (bar Punk). No one can back Heyman's words up, and it's kinda hard to hype Curtis Axel as being the best when he's....not.

Which is why, as I said, in the atmosphere of NXT it might be different. I could totally have pictured Heyman managing Sasha Banks in NXT.

Heyman's needed on the big stage. The small show is doing just fine as it is. They're even getting part timers now.

Either with Hideo or Finn(Hopefully him) would be great. Or both. For some reason I think Balor and Itami would make a great tag team.

To be fair, I think the fans are more to blame for this one. The WWE just took that ball and ran with it, hence the "Paul Heyman Guy" thing. Another problem is that neither Ryback nor Curtis Axel were Punk or Lesnar. Heyman/Finn could certainly work. My client, THE DEMOONNNNN FINNNN BALLLLORRRRRR, demolished the plebian, pathetic and pitiful Baron Corbin!Heyman/Itami would work too. Heyman/Corbin would be interesting.

Not as a manager but once trips goes full time on the main roster I could see him maybe taking his spot in nxt and do the booking not sure who is waiting in the wings when trips leaves but I think in a few years when Brock is gone and maybe Vince is gone I can't think of anyone better

WWE and Heyman lose interest in his other clients as soon as Brocks dates come up.
He managed Cesaro, Ryback, Axel but does anyone remember? NOPE.
CM Punk was good with him though.

Heyman works as a manager for Lesnar because they compliment each other perfectly. He would overshadow anyone he managed in NXT, just as he overshadowed Cesaro, Axel and Ryback.

I could see him being paired up with with a big, young, (hopefully protected) guy...like Baron Corbin.
Heyman shows up randomly backstage on show saying he is just scouting some younger competition. Couple of weeks later, he is seen again this time in the entrance way, maybe during a multi-man match so there is some mystery about who he has his eye on.
Jason Jordan would work really well too.

Even then, that's still the main problem- the "Paul Heyman Guy" thing didn't work with a journeyman like a Curtis Axel, it didn't work for someone who was a notable star like Ryback...and with Cesaro, it didn't even work with an indy darling. Put them together, and it becomes "Heyman doesn't make a guy a megastar, the guy can be a megastar themselves and just get added by Heyman."

If they didn't put him with the Wyatts they could have put Strowman with Heyman, his presence on Raw was similar to Lesnar in his 2002 debut.
They also have that guy who looks like a jacked George The Animal Steele too.
