She has no grasp of the basics and does more rest holds in a 3 minute match than HBK/Bret did in the ironman match. The only thing she's done correct in any of her matches is walk to the ring looking good. I really don't think you watch any wrestling if she's solid to you, or you just don't know much about the basics. No psychology, no selling, poor execution, bad flow and no consistency. She hasn't hurt herself or her opponent is the only thing she's done right. If that's what qualifies for solid, that's fine. You're entitled to your opinion, but I'm allowed to question it. That's how it works. Yeah, you questioned it and he explained. What just happened is because you didn't like his opinion, you just went on a little hissy fit acting like it's a fact Eva's the worst around. That's why it's an opinion, dude. No one's right or wrong. Well see this isn't helping either, you respond to him thinking Eva is the worst ever and give it the connotation of a "fit". That doesn't help. If an opinion is fine then thinking she's the worst on the roster needs to be fine too.

I haven't read the whole thread but I think Emma should challenge Bayley at the next Takeover special, there's a lot of history there and it will be interesting to see if Emma can step up to the level of the others. They are clearly trying to develop Eva Marie which is the main point of NXT of course, giving her a match or two with Bayley will help that development but I don't think she's ready to be the main challenger. The current setup seems to indicate Emma is going to be the first challenger and Eva would be one in the future. I'm happy with that, so long as that future is about a year from now and PLEASE not the UK shows.

Eh, why not? It seems like a good way to test her.

Remember when Charlotte when first started off wrestling? A number of folks here and around the net crapped on her. Besides the "She looks like a man" insults, people gave her hell for her lack of wrestling ability. Cries of nepotism rang out. When she had her match against Nattie, people declared she got carried. When repeated it with different ladies, folks start to come around. Eventually people declared she was the best wrestler in NXT and acting like they were in her corner since day one. Don't believe me? Just look up old threads here for proof. Eva Marie didn't spend time in developmental. Her and Jojo were hire just for Total Divas. She learned on the job which is not good when you're on the main roster and on tv almost every week. And just like Jojo, she recognized that she needed to train more and get better to achieve her goals. Can Eva Marie step up to the challenge? We won't know if we keep her and other women separated from the vets. There are a number of women who debuted or got a while before that happen who could use the benefits from working with veteran/more talented workers. Don't forget that your current faves sucked ass at some point.

IT'S WAY TOO SOON!!! She only started a few weeks ago on NXT TV! How the hell is that believable!?
Emma (plus Dana) and later on Alexa (after winning the Blue Pants feud) would be the next logical feuds for Bayley

I say push her to the moon.
It'd be fun watching her horribly exposed.

Being rushed onto TV isn't the answer, but at least if that's going to happen, she needs to be kept away from any titles. It will just hurt her in the long run.

eh I mean, Emma is about the only one in NXT right now who'd give Bayley a good match. All the other NXT girls need work. Bayley would have to work with some of them at some point. Unless some of these rumored big signings happen.

Where have people said they won't give her a chance? Even comments like "I hate her" doesn't necessarily mean they won't still give her a chance. There's people I've disliked in the past that I changed my mind on. And I can't really say I blame people for assuming the worst with WWE when it comes to pushes. Especially when it keeps being reported that they can't wait to give the world to Eva Marie.

How I'd book the womens division:
Bayley/Carmella vs Emma/Dana feud
Alexa vs Blue Pants
Nia Jax starting her squash tour before beginning a feud with the Aussie girls or Eva Marie

NXT is Hunter's pet project. If Eva won the title, it would because he made the call not Vince or Dunn. He has free reign with NXT. He planned a show against ROH's not Vince. He decides who gets hired or fired. Everything NXT is him. So if Eva Marie wins the NXT Women's title, blame HHH.

If Eva Marie improves enough, there's no reason she shouldn't be Bayley's future challenger at some point. She has the ice queen persona, a good look, and natural heat with the Full Sail crowd.
But first, I'd like to see Bayley defeat Emma, Dana, Alexa, Carmella and maybe even Blue Pants (in the cutest face vs face match ever). There's also that Nia Jaxx, or whatever she's called, who will probably be NXT's first real monster heel in the women's division.

And yes, I'm still laughing at how you thought Eva was gonna beat Sasha for the title at Takeover: Brooklyn. I will admit I was wrong about that but the NXT ladies lack a main heel. Let's keep it real, Emma is only back in NXT because her main roster run bombed. Other than hanging out with Dana, what has she done to standout from the pack? Attack Bayley? Every female attacked Bayley at some point.

I had read Eva had been working hard on improving her skills but having watched the latest episode of NXT, she has a loooooooooong way to go. She just looks clumsy.

I read the same. That she improved so much. 10 second instagram videos couldn't lie.
Then I saw her in NXT. Oh my was that something else.
When I read the "she's in developmental" defense, I almost always in the back of my mind think about the countless talented women's wrestlers out there who will never sniff the WWE level because of aesthetics or bad timing. They'd all, despite not being WWE vets, perform 1,000 times better than Eva Marie in the same position but aren't afforded those sorts of opportunities. Shouldn't developmental be reserved for those who plied their craft and got noticed by WWE enough to be given the opportunity to learn under Death Rey before moving up to RAW? I see Eva as the exact opposite of the "Diva Revolution" they're pushing on the main shows. Certainly there is a validity to the backlash when you look at it this way, especially when she was really only hired because of her looks and not because of her athletic ability (of which is questionable in nature until she shows athletic prowess in the ring).
So when you're exposed on taped television as being horrible, that says something. Sure, she's still working. And if that's the case, why show her stinking the joint up for the audience to pick up on? She'll never be as crisp or seasoned as your 4HW and the like. If she's lucky, she might reach Alicia Fox levels of competency, but in no way should it be frowned upon for judging her as a finished product, when there are NXT guys yet to debut because of a lack of experience. Kind of like how it should be with Eva. Train her until she's ready, then showcase her, if that time ever comes. It isn't wrong to judge her based on her peers, and she sucks compared to her peers.

I'd have Bayley have a successful title defense against Emma at the October TakeOver while Eva goes over Blue Pants. Then at The December Takeover in London Eva finally achieves her girlhood dream and the dream of everyone else who's been told they can't do it by winning the title. She's a throwback to the vintage days of rasslin not sports entertainment with her fancy robe.
