I thought it was agreed every time someone tries to guess when Vince will pass on he lives another 5 years out of spite.

I'm not even convinced Vince will let death submit him. Dying seems to be the sort of thing he'd equate as a sign of weakness.

I get the sense that Vince will never retire until he dies. This is a guy who sleeps a few hours a day for decades and has traveled basically everywhere for his company missing god knows how many family moments. He is not giving up now because it's all he knows. Although I do think there is tremendous comedy potential in him getting put into some fancy retirement home. He would probably end up promoting the yearly checkers tournament before you know it.

There's a good chance HHH will be as old as Vince is right now before Vince relinquishes control.

If you strike him down he will become more powerful than you can possibly imagine.

Ive heard countless times about Vince doing cocaine... but it's never been proven and nobody has come out with the "Yeah I used to do blow with Vince back in the day..." stories so Im going to say it's probable it's not true. That's being said, 70 isn't as old as it used to be.. He could live another quarter century. Id fear him being in charge of creative at 90+ Wait, Vince got rich in the 80's. You're going to assume the rich guy in the 80's DIDN'T do coke? Because boy that seems assbackwards

Vince has already started giving Hunter more power, it's just been gradual but considering how big WWE is of course it will be a bit still before Vince fully steps down. But I believe it will happen. Stephanie and Hunter are in the Board of Directors now, Hunter has full control over NXT. Heck, the certain episodes of RAW that are well-received here I think in part because Vince allows Hunter to handle the booking of some of the hours on a trial basis.
Again, it's a gradual process but the signs are there.

he should rightfully retire now . Turn over the company to Stephanie & hhh , & spend his golden years on a beach somewhere No, he shouldn't. I don't like predicting when people are going to go, but the second Vince's life isn't fully invested in WWE anymore, his quality of life is going to go WAY downhill and he likely won't last as long as you'd think. WWE isn't just his reason for living, it's his ENTIRE LIFE.

WWE isn't just his reason for living, it's his ENTIRE LIFE. You're saying he's going to be LESS healthy when he finally retires and stops worrying about running his crazy million dollar corporation? Its not a stretch. There's plenty of people who live to work and have died shortly after stopping working or doing what they love. It's like their brains and bodies are in complete lockstep with their jobs. I lived near Penn State when that whole Sandusky mess broke as a story and when Paterno got canned many people thought he'd be dead shortly thereafter. Thats exactly what happened. Vince is at an age where major health crises are far more likely. He could easily go for another 10-15 years though. 80 isn't even a roadblock, there's lots of 80 year olds that still work and many are in the public eye. Hell, Regis is like 85. If anything, Vince may cut down load but like most in this thread I dont see him stopping unless he has a major health crisis that forces him to or some other circumstance arises. The idea that he deteriorates more rapidly if he stops at this point is absolutely not a far-fetched opinion though.

This is the first I am hearing on him being a coke head. graspy voice not a big indication? The fact that he only sleeps an apparent 3 hours a night? These "symptoms" you're trying to use as an excuse for calling Vince a cokehead or even a former one are ridiculous. Vince doesn't have a raspy voice when he's speaking in a normal tone. Secondly, he's never slept a lot from all indications but I would bet a lot of that is hyperbole. Even if he did it every day from 1979-1993 and had Pablo Escobar on speed dial the fact he sleeps light or has a raspy voice wouldn't be indications that he was a cokehead.

I actually think Shane is going to surprise everyone and take over whenever Vince steps down/dies. Steph and HHH will handle creative and Shane will handle the business side of things, like Linda does now. It makes sense that Shane went off on his own to try and make a success out of another business and then comes back to lead the WWE business division when it becomes necessary.
You know Shane will still have a large stock in the company, I can't imagine anything he may or may not have done got him written out of the will. It always seems like him and Vince are on good terms.

He has been caught doing steroids before, and coke was even brought up in his trial. I think he even admitted publicly during the trail to doing all that (but denied supplying wrestlers with any drugs)

There are a handful stories from the late 80s/early 90s (all unconfirmed of course) of Vince using cocaine recreationally. But a cokehead? That's a stretch. It's pretty stupid to throw a term like that around when you a) obviously don't understand the severity of the connotations behind it, and b) are basing it off rumors you read on the internet. Not cool.
