What if the Naked Gun and the 1994 version of Angels In The Outfield shared the same universe and was canon to each other, if you were an Angels fan you saw some weird stuff in a few years.
Though to be honest nothing those angels did in the 1994 season can be as unforgetable and weird as what happened in that infomus 1988 Mariners / Angels game. I mean after seeing an umpire having player in a run down, two umpires arguing at each other, and an umpire throwing other umpires out of a game, a fat woman fall on Reggie Jackson, whatever those angels did it was just normal in comparison.
Also let's not forget at some point in the past, we had a tiger on the field that attacked a player on a base pads, a car show up on the field of play.

In 1993, we had a 12-year-old pitcher lead the Chicago Cubs to the National League playoffs. In 1994, we had a 12-year-old owner/manager bring the Minnesota Twins to a one-game playoff with the Seattle Mariners.
Baseball in the mid-1990s was straight up out of control.

Dude threw 109 MPH AND hit bombs out of the stadium effortlessly every at bat without fail. He was plagued my mental problems, but he pitched an unbelievable perfect game 27 up, 27 k's 81 consecutive strikes.

It wasn't just the big leagues either. I remember a rash of golden retrievers playing various little league sports around the same time. I don't know how the hell "dogs can't play sports" wasn't in the rulebook beforehand.

All of which pales in comparison to Michael Jordan and Bill Murray playing a basketball game in outer space with the several famous cartoon characters.

For some reason Ozzie Smith pinch hits in Yankee Stadium, which somehow is supposed to make him seem like a feared player when in canon, he wouldn't have been one of the top 9 hitters on that Cardinals team. He did have one foul tip though. It definitely would've helped the Indians win it 1990 (1994, whatever) if they hadn't moved from Milwaukee to Baltimore and if their lead off hitter wouldn't have gotten shorter in between seasons. They also shouldn't have sold Parkman, his hips drove the women in Cleveland nuts.

heh, I loved the scout. Maybe it was Albert Brooks' performance alone, but it had its moments.
