It'll be $10 an hour here in L.A. in January and they're pushing for it to go to $15. Fast food and grocery store prices have gone way up here to compensate for this. Good for those people I suppose but sucks for middle management people like myself who will still make the same and suffer from inflation.

Yeah inflation is going to hurt a lot of people over the minimum wage level. The company I work for has a bunch of entry level guys who work really hard and make anywhere from $14-$16 an hour. They're heads spin when people aim for a $15 minimum . But realistically you pay a premium to live in and around Boston $10 an hour wouldn't allow you the ability to purchase a place to park your car

In April 2016 the UK is bringing in a living wage of £7.20 ph for over 25s.

$120NT an hour. Which is English money is about £2.40 and in American $3.60.
Yeah, it's really low. The cost of living is low too though but, the property price is ridiculously high. Even for renting apartments. Thankfully, my job is well above the minimum ($600NT an hour) so the low minimum wage isn't a huge issue for me.

I'm salaried, so I don't know. Actually as a government attorney I make about the same as a McDonald's manager. No hot grease burns though, so that's good. A quick search for Chicago reveals the following CHICAGO (AP) —Minimum wage earners in Chicago will see a $1.75 hourly bump. A city law raising the minimum wage to $13 by 2019 in increments will take effect Wednesday. The first increase will be from $8.25 to $10 an hour. After that it'll go up by 50 cents in 2016 and 2017, then by $1 in July 2018 and 2019. (Story posted July 1)

I don't remember what comedian it was, but I love the explanation of a minimum wage as "This is how much you are worth to me as an employee. I'd love to be able to pay you less, but I legally can't."

As I vaguely recall, here in the Philippines the daily minimum wage on the National Capital Region is somewhere around 450 pesos, and that's about 10 dollars daily.

$7.25, here in Michigan. I'd have to get a second job, to keep a roof over my head, thankfully I make $10.50. It sucks, being in Detroit, though, because I used to be able to live in the safer neighborhoods, but boughey suburbanites and New Yorkers are flocking over here and pricing me out into the dangerous territory.

Apparently, it's rising to $11.25 in Ontario.
Full-time is considered 35 hours as far as I know.
