Prince Iaukea was a typical power plant guy, great looks, okay in the ring but very few of them left the system with any real personality. They knew to smile and slap hands when face, scowl a bunch when heel but they were all kind of lacking, I guess that's what you get when you put someone as limited as Craig Pittman in charge. It's like the situation in DSW/FCW/NXT with Bill DeMott, the best and brightest weren't necessarily the best and brightest, they were the ones who tolerated the sadistic drills they were put through and the abuse they were given without complaint and they were the ones who ended up on TV. Actually it was Jody Hamilton, Mike Winner, Pez Whatley, and Buddy Lee Parker in charge of the Power Plant. Pittman was someone who helped out training whenever one of the others weren't available.

I've been watching his old stuff. He's not really good but not sure why people hate him so much He wasn't horrible. I just think that he stands out poorly amongst the insane talent quality of WCW's midcard at the time. Kinda like Tyler Breeze in the NXT main event scene. He's good enough, but there's better. (No offence, Ty) Also, just looked up Spring Stampede for the Regal match. Noticed there was a gap I figured was a Benoit match so I decided to check it out, Landed directly on THAT Booker T moment. I love random surprises sometimes.

He's not really good but not sure why people hate him so much I didn't hate him but at the time I was irritated by such a boring ho-hum performer getting pushed over much better talents. This made me resent him and want to see him get beat every time he came out. He was like Sivi Afi, only no one really thought Sivi Afi was that great.

I will say, him being PWI's "Rookie Of The Year" baffles me, and makes me wonder who else the field included that got skipped over.

I remember him main eventing Nitro once against Randy Savage for the TV title, it was mostly a squash match till DDP arrived. He also had a brief feud with Jericho in the Spring of 1998 where Jericho took his Hawaiian skirt (I forget the name of it) and wore it to the ring.

I think AFKAPI is one of the more underrated Russo ideas, and one of the few things he did right in WCW. 3 Count was another good one. I maintain that WCW would still be alive today if instead of Tank Abbott, they got King Kong Bundy to be with 3Count. Change their name to FIIIIIIVE!!!

I don't know about the field as a whole, but according to Wikipedia the three runners-up were, I kid you not, Ernest "The Cat" Miller, Chris Chetti, and Brakkus. Not exactly a terribly inspiring list.

Not going to lie, I loved him as a Prince impersonator. it made him a million times more interesting, and he did a decent job with it.
