Goldust faces Flash Funk in the first RAW of 1998. He's doing his with Luna dress up gimmick and he comes out as a pimp with a big afro and the darkest black makeup. Feels racist.
Kurgan's belly hair is odd and disturbing.

Paul Bearer stole Lanny Poffo's catchphrase to end the first promo after the 1998 Rumble. "Cause I'm Paul Bearer and you're not"

Luna and Sherri had a damn good entertaining brawl in the early days of Raw. Would've loved to see a proper match between them. Hard to believe both are gone now. Paul Bearer stole Lanny Poffo's catchphrase to end the first promo after the 1998 Rumble. "Cause I'm Paul Bearer and you're not" Must've been somewhat popular. It's in the Wrestlemania 2000 video game strategy guide as his main catchphrase (came out in October 1999.)

I think he said that in the WWF Attitude game also.

I was watching a Smackdown from November 1999. Dave Koechner from Anchorman fame and the Office and Todd Packer appeared as a fan holding a sign saying "WWF Is Immoral".

He used to pin people with it, if not often exactly, regularly. Like I guess it's protecting guys more to have them have their shoulders down too long than to tap to it/give up since I think tapping wasn't the style of the time?

He used it from time to time to pin opponents, he regained the WWF title from Randy Savage that way on Prime Time Wrestling in Sept of 92 and also won the NWA World Title from Barry Windham that way at Beach Blast 93.

Hbk had no idea how to put on the figure four. Watch the flair match at wm24 and taker at 25. That was a leg submission he was using in a lot of his matches at the time. It's meant to be applied that way. Here is Shawn putting the regular figure 4 on Cena. www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ec_46nFMfbA

Raw in 1994 is so brutal to watch. Same awful formula every week of two main roster guys fighting, 3 squash matches, setting up a feud, and an episode of King's Court.
Gorilla Monsoon on Commentary again the week of KOTR 1994 is wonderful because I don't have to hear Vince gush about headlines from that day with Macho Man.
Nikolai Volkoff faced the 1-2-3 Kid for a shot at Bret Hart's WWF Title. That would be like if Heath Slater faced Jason Jordan for a shot at Brock Lesnar today.
King's Court is an awful talk show. Jerry Lawler is painfully unfunny and the Piper feud, may be the worst feud I've ever watched.
There is a Raw segment from Raw: Homecoming where its Piper's Pit with Mick Foley and Randy Orton shows up to beat them both of. Upon watching, I realized that all four wrestlers I've met (Foley, Orton, Piper, and Lawler on commentary) are in this segment. Bizarre.
ECW Hardcore TV is the best show on television in 1994. I wish it wasn't edited to hell and back, but I'd picture myself living as a teen in 1994 in the downstairs basement, having a J and watching ECW at 2am. Sounds like paradise to me.

Wondering if (in the case that Ron Garvin didn't leave for the WWF soon after as well) they would have gone with Ron Garvin and Al Perez as replacement horsemen for Tully and Arn when they jumped to the WWF in September 1988.
Seemed like Gary Hart's stable was really close with the Horsemen (as of July 1988).

I don’t think I will ever get used to The Undertaker speaking with his normal non exaggerated voice.
