How did Kai get a women's title match at Wrestlemania X? Interestingly, the WWF Magazine WMX preview issue lists Alundra's opponent as Debbie Combs, complete with publicity photo. I think they just wanted another link to the first WrestleMania, and Leilani could serve as someone who wrestled on both shows (in WWF continuity, that is--IRS would have been another had the 10-man tag come off, but that wouldn't really count as he was for all intents and purposes a different person).

ECW Hardcore Heaven 1995, Shane Douglas cuts a promo about leaving ECW and his t-shirt is blurred. I'm assuming this is a WWF logo and it's blurred due to the World Wildlife Fund garbage? Yep it’s the WWF Block logo.

Yep it’s the WWF Block logo. And that makes no sense, as it is not censored on actual WWF shows. It's not censored on later ECW TV shows from 1997, either, as around August/September, Bill Alfonso and his guys carry a WWF banner that's not blurred.

Yeah I am really baffled why they censored that, this was my immediate thought.

Probably just laziness them not going back to fix their original edits cause up until they made the deal in 2012 to use wwf unblurred they tried to act like wwf never existed they’d bleep out the F,blur all logos and even have gone as far to alter the WWF block logo to be WWE.To this day when I watch the network they still have WWF blurred no matter the logo and they still bleep WWF mentions on random shows and not on others.

Only the 1998-2002 WWF logo was an issue pre-2012. The block logo was fine to use, and WWE even put out a T-shirt of the block WWF logo in 2010. The 2012 deal changed something to where WWE now can't use it in marketing or in footage recorded in 2019. That wouldn't affect a 1995 ECW show, though, so it should never have been blurred in the first place.

Watching the first episode of ECW is a bit awkward with Rockin’ Rebel and Snuka back to back...

Chris Jericho sells Howard Finkle into what I can only assume is sex slavery to Mr Hughes.

The Headbangers are so lame. I've watched all the Raws from 97 thru 99 and they're consistently the worst part of the show whenever they appear.

I swear Davey Boy Smith was actually shorter in his 1999 WWF jeans run.

I personally don't think DiBiase was all that great on commentary at Royal Rumble '94 HEENAN'S GONE, WE NEED ANOTHER MANAGER TYPE TO COMMENTATEMr. McMahon, stop yelling, you're-- HOW ABOUT DIBIASE IS HE AVAILABLEHe's not a manag-- GET ME DIBIASE GODDAMMITWhy do I even work here. "Oh, I'm gonna enjoy this!" bwahaha. I have fonder memories of DiBiase I suppose. I thought he was fine on the weekend shows (he worked with Stan Lane mostly, yes?) on the 2/14/86 TNT Vince introduces Tito Santana as El Matador and they spend the whole interview talking about bullfighting. Ok I was gonna make a time travel joke about McMahon seeing future timelines above with the DiBiase bit, but then I saw this post and I'm fairly certain he's actually a time traveler. Damn.

OK, I admit that I know this through somebody else who has watched the Network but... I was surprised to learn that the Nitro Girls debuted in July 1997 already. I thought all this time that they were introduced around the Russo rise into power to add some titillation. To learn that they actually came into existence two years before Russo...wow. Yeah, Russo didn't care for the concept of the group, if you can believe it, so his plan was to split the group up and force them into valet/character roles, with the intent that this'd prompt them to quit without having to fire them. It worked with a couple of them & they were gone, some vanished from TV with "a plan in mind" but then never came back or were brought back (IIRC Fyre was one, they were gonna put her with Lash Leroux and then....nothing), while others debuted as characters pretty quick... The Nitro Girls were harmless. It gave the Nitros variety and a nice event feel.

What made them annoying was how often they were appearing early on. It would be like an NFL game stopping so we can see them dance instead of actual football.

The Bulldog/Repo Man feud actually started on Wrestling Challenge. I was always under the assumption that most angles took place on Superstars. I guess it's just a poor memory on my part.

In May of 1992 someone felt the need to give Virgil promo time.

Among the worst matches almost nobody saw has to be the 12 Man Tag Team 3/5 Falls match from World Class during May of 1985.
Just an incoherent mess spread out over two rings (making me wonder if World Class could have sued WCW when they did the two-ring bit for WarGames two years later) where you barely know what's going on due to the action all over the place.

During the Acolytes bar room brawl segments, one of the rednecks refers to Faarooq as "darkie" to try get Bradshaw on his side.
