WWE haven't bothered to dub Simon Diamond's ECW theme - Simon Says by Drain STH, they've just lowered the volume.

Although I've just rewatched it and I can't be certain. There is definitely a drum beat dubbed over the actual song but I can hear the vocals from the real version beneath them.

Also on this show, the Insane Clown Posse must have no showed because Joey Styles buries them on commentary and prompts WCW not to rehire them.

This is another example of me feeling bad for John Tenta who was just trying to do good for his family and he had to do stupid crap like this.

You gotta respect that he did it but I still find in humorous the thought of him going to a supermarket or a bakery like that.

Dusty Rhodes, Starrcade 1995: "Is a weasel an animal?"
I'm gonna take a bold guess and say yes.

Interesting what I currently watch on 1984 Mid-Atlantic.
So, Mid-Atlantic brought in Mike Rotundo and Barry Windham in August 1984 and from how they are presented on the shows, they seemed to be set up for a program for the World Tag Team Titles against Don Kernodle and Ivan Koloff.
Given that they were already WWF Tag Team Champions by March 1985, I am curious to see when they suddenly disappear from Mid-Atlantic programming and whether or not Mid-Atlantic will give them a JYD-like burial on commentary when it happens.
I guess I am most surprised that the US Express was set up in some way before they appeared in the WWF.

Just finished Nitro from 12/15/97 and the starrcade card is a mess. They are promoting Kevin Nash in 3 matches on the card Nash & Hall vs Steiners for the tag titles,Nash vs Giant ,Nash & Hall & Savage vs Steiners & Traylor and none of those matches take place.Plus they are promoting Henning vs Flair in a cage which doesn’t happen as well.

Man, Sean Mooney was so frickin’ bad when he first started. His early Event Centers are painful. He’s so shouty and forced and his pronunciation of WWF is super weird.

When I watched the 88 primetime’s I thought he was either deaf or mad at me or both. He was like the human version of the bus from the movie speed he would explode if he didn’t talk like that.

Apparently, WCW (according to Mike Tenay) were going to do a Jushin Liger/Ultimo Dragon Jan 4th rematch at the January Clash Of The Champions in 1997. It’s a shame it never happened.

Since Starrcade 1984 is next on my watch list after having watched the build-up to it via the Mid-Atlantic episodes on the network...this has to be a pretty high contender in the category of issues completely scrambling up the original card as envisioned: -I would guess they originally planned to have Mike Rotundo and Barry Windham in featured roles at this PPV given their build-up before Vince snatched them away to turn them into the US Express. I could have seen, given the shows, that Mike would have gone after Ron Bass's Mid-Atlantic title and Barry Windham after Tully Blanchard's TV title or, perhaps, both of them going after the World Tag Team Titles held by Don Kernodle and Ivan Koloff (given that the title change to Dusty Rhodes and Ragin' Bull was not something that was originally supposed to happen before Starrcade). -A weird switch was also that the build-up seemed then to be that the returning Dick Slater would challenge Tully Blanchard for the TV Title and the returning Ricky Steamboat fighting against Ron Bass for the Mid-Atlantic title, but then in Vince Russo fashion they switched it up with only one show to spare. -Also odd that they did a high profile title change with the World Tag Team Title before the show since that cage match could have made for a good addition to the card. Granted Dusty would have to do double duty at the show but given how the World Heavyweight Title match turned out and how long it was, I would not have put it past Dusty to take the Tag Team Title as a consolation price. -A minor change was also the slam elimination match that was supposed to be a six-man with the Zambuie Express & (I forgot) against American Starship and Buzz Tyler, that was changed to a normal tag team match between the Zambuie Express and Assassin #1 & Buzz Tyler due to the American Starship going as fast as they appeared in the territory. It is kinda glaring comparing the build-up with the year before that was much better.
