Did Kevin Sullivan actually win cause with the exception of a jobber squash on the Nitros I've watched he's lost I wondered this as well and recently watched a nitro from December 96 where he beat Arn Anderson. It was like a 3 minute match where just before the match Benoit sent in a video with Woman that sent Sullivan off the deep end.It was mostly a fist fight until Arn took out Jimmy Hart then Hugh Morrus ran in and ate a DDT,Konnan ate a spinebuster and Sullivan broke a wooden chair over Arn’s head for the pin.Crowd was super hot for this which usually wasn’t the case in Sullivan matches during this era.

So, Royal Rumble ‘97: It’s taken me until now to notice that Austin is praying as Jake Roberts makes his way down to the ring and then flips him off. It’s a nice little callback.

I love when I find little things that I’ve never noticed before. Some times I will just pay attention to the crowd or the announcers or some times I ignore everything but the wrestlers. This weekend I watched WCW Great American Bash 92.It’s a show I’ve seen many times but this time I noticed during the Rude/Austin vs Dustin/Windham match that everyone especially Madusa can’t get their shit together because they can’t stop laughing midway through the match.

I didn’t know the tombstone piledriver was used so much in 1987 WWF.I knew Muraco used it but I just watched Tiger Chung Lee use a jumping tombstone piledriver to beat Kelly Kiniski.

Ah that would explain how Monsoon knew what to call it when Taker used it in his debut match, used to bug me for years as to how when no one knew anything about the Deadman prior to Survivors 90

I do like that Taker & HBK stole their finish at mania 26 from a Tiger Chung Lee/Kelly Kiniski match.

Raw 9/13/99.
Storytelling is so much better. They run a vignette at the top of the show setting up how everyone is after Triple H, then show everyone backstage looking for him. It's sets up a storyline right away for the show.
Also, someone at ringside with a Limp Bizkit sign is the most 1999 thing ever.
Raw 9/27/99
JR sells Droz puking better than anyone. "What did Droz eat for lunch? That's a RANCID smell!"

In early march 86 Tully beats Dusty to win the national title with the exact same finish that Savage used the prior month to win the IC title from Tito. Then in Dusty’s 1st interview after losing he decides to get naked.Thank God they cut to commercial as he was taking off his pants.

One of the joys of watching ‘70s MSG shows is the crowd popping like mad for the simplest stuff. It’s surreal how unglued they’ll get.

Oh dear God no. The fact that as champ Dusty was a bit braggadocious then he loses 1 match and his 1st inclination was to get naked on TV.That is a deeply disturbed person IMO.

That WCCW in 1987 had a similar storyline to the Briscoes in 2002 with the older brother Steve Simpson wrestling while his younger brother Shawn watched on the sidelines until he was old enough to legally wrestling.

Watching 85 World Class & Mid South Hector and Chavo Guerrero were great heels who cut promos that wouldn't have been out of place in the late 90's. You can see how their gimmicks influenced their little brother when he turned heel and got over in WWE.

When you watch Mid-Atlantic Championship Wrestling from beginning to end, it kinda becomes an interesting look at the career of Don Kernodle.
From his rise in 1981/82 as one of Sgt. Slaughter's rookies to the height of his career in 1983/84 as world tag team champion with Sgt. Slaughter and Ivan Koloff respectively to the downturn in 1985/86 being mostly a JTTS.

I just saw this a couple days ago when watching the hart foundation coliseum home video.Mary Hart knew it was a piledriver yet Alfred Hayes called a double ddt a double piledriver.

That at one point in 1987 World Class Championship Wrestling had a commentator during one of their Mesquite shows named...Don Gay.
