Just from googling, maybe they were in Colorado? The Rockies use it sometimes. Only other notable thing in 2002 was it being used at the World Cup but I don't think that'd filter through to a wrestling audience. This was the Raw after Mania X8 in Montreal. Then no f***ing clue.

I had never watched This Tuesday in Texas before so it was the first time I saw Jake Roberts promo before his match with Savage, but he quotes from the Pink Floyd song "One Of My Turns"

Does The Maestro ever actually get acknowledged on Nitro? Watching the Nitro after Mayhem 99, and so far I've heard his little piano cue twice, with no recognition of it from commentary, and him only appearing briefly on screen for about a second.

Watching Ground Zero as I return to my 1997 RAW journey and did they censor the word ass like on the live PPV? For a PPV alot of bleeping stuff out.

Norman Smiley, surprisingly, is the ONE bright spot of late 99 "Post-Russo arrival" WCW.

Holy damn, Hall and Nash really didn't give a f*** in 99, did they? Watching Nash's "Vince Impersonation" angle on the buildup to Mayhem, and...wow. They need to get Thunders on the Network so I can watch the entire episode of Thunder where Nash does commentary. The spear! Second to none.

Him doing the voiceover of the Sid/Goldberg nitro stuff talking about The Frozen tundra of lambeau field and then saying the reason Luger flees from La Parka is he's terrified of skeletons.

Just a heads up I haven't listened to it but Vince Russo is reviewing his 2nd Nitro from 10/25/99 as a 2 part podcast.

The payoff to the whole stupid "Revolution vs. Jim Duggan" storyline late in 99 is oddly(and almost certainly accidentally) progressive, as two latinos(and Billy Kidman) stop a gaggle of white guys from burning an American flag.

I'm almost done 99 and I can see why I have so few memories other than Tag team ladder match,Austin getting run over,HHH & Steph. The shows are a mess I'm hoping when 2000 comes it gets instantly awesome like I remember.Stephanie is vastly improved after turning heel.

On at least two occasions now I have heard Tony Schiavone pronounce "The Patriot" as the pat-ree-ot instead of pay-tree-it. He deservedly gets shit for Ye-tay all the time, but I honestly think this was worse.

Man, the go-home Nitro to Souled Out 2000 is a pretty textbook example of how to kill a heel. Jeff Jarrett loses three times, in three consecutive matches, to washed up old guys.

Almost literally since Snuka gave him a concussion bad enough to take him out of the event in the year 2000 when the attitude to them was "walk it off then get out there".

Wasn't there another time that the Revolution tries to desecrate the American Flag, but they are stopped by the all American duo of Bret Hart and Chris Benoit?
