Can't wait until Seth gets held hostage. I hope Hostage Taking Bird isn't locked into his TNA deal still.

Sting's cool putting over an Ex-Lax statue as something that moves Seth Freakin' Rollins.

Sting did fine last night. Unlike some folks, I hardly watched his TNA run and I'm happy to see him. I will always be a fan of the Stinger. I was there live when he won his last world title in WCW, so it would be nice to see him win the WWE title and keep it for at least a month or two.

I f***ing love Sting. No apologies or bones about it. He's been one of my favorites since I was a kid and is basically the reason I love The Crow as well. I'm glad they moved on from "silent warrior" Sting because really, the guy has charisma that should be leveraged. Put the belt on him for a month. That's all. I don't think I'd give him the MITB treatment immediately either. If you want this guy to go into the WWE HOF you need to prove he's worth it.

He's being a goober, but Sting was so often a hyperactive goober anyway. Glad to see him enjoying himself being a goof. Agreed the music doesn't fit him so much, same was pretty much the case post-Starrcade '97. He was great at the silent stuff, but it's pure surf dude when he talks and you've gotta roll with that. Seek & Destroy worked a lot better for late WCW Sting.
If he is in the last Raw before NoC, I'm thinking he isn't, but if he is then I wouldn't mind seeing a face-to-face dramatic duelling promo with Seth for the last build.
As for Joker Sting, it had its moments. They tend to get forgotten sometimes with the bad stuff, but there were some real good parts. Aside from those mentioned, I really liked how he tricked Hogan into revealing his plan before BFG '11. And also that great promo where he goaded Roode into a title match with his Joker-y silliness then completely dropped it on the go-home show to lay out exactly how much he respected Roode, the championship belt and why he'd done all that to get his shot.

I wish Sting cared more about the historical significance of him challenging for the WWE title and less about a statue, but besides that he's doing fine. I also wish Hostage Taking Bird and some friends had used the statue for a bathroom, because at least that would fit the Crow thing a little.

I was dead when Sting put his mask on Statue Rollins.
This is a much better "Comedy Face" versus "Cowardly Heel" fued than Rollins could ever have with Cena, IMHO. People boo Cena when he tries comedy, but with Sting the combination of his mystery (being a TNA/WCW guy) and his facepaint (making you take him somewhat seriously and hilariously when he cracks a joke) is a much better face to feud for the WWE title than Cena. So saying I kinda hope the second title match Rollins has at NoC is appropriately main-event worthy compared to Cena's US title match, as Cena is always known for finisher-heavy PPV marathons. Sting should bust out Scorpion Deathlocks and submissions galore to wear down an already-competed Rollins and hopefully weather a Sheamus Triple-Threat attack after Rollins is nearly out.

Dark brooding crow Sting worked in WCW because he was a man scorned and outcast. In the WWE there is no reason for that. So if Sting isn't zany, what would he be?
In TNA for a long time he was "just Sting". His character was that he was the ex-WCW wrestler Sting. Joker Sting was kinda weird, but it was a change of pace, like how he is acting now.

Love it. The world always needs more awkward Sting gifs. I can't possibly be the only one that thinks this looks dirty.

The further Sting is from being a Taker/Wyatt archetype the better. I'm in themnority that loved TNA Troll-Sting anyway. I mean, don't make him the Joker again, but definitely having him act insane to throw everyone else off their game is a good aspect IMO

Joker Sting was the most fun I'd had with his character since I was 11. I'm enjoying the comedy coming back a little. There were a few good Joker Sting moments I think, although I can see why people might have thought it was embarassing, and a ripoff of the Joker, though Sting was more (and remains) Jim Carrey more than anything. Yeah, Sting with the Joker paint was Gorshin/Carrey Riddler more than the Joker. But I couldn't sanction his buffoonery. I haven't watched RAW yet though.
