They'll just call OVW and ask if they got anyone willing to work for less than scale for the trade off of being on "international tv" for the "2nd biggest wrestling promotion in the world". They will be people desperate enough to take up the offer. Plus they have Khali's school of greenhorns to use. Dear Vishnu, I can only imagine the quality of such wrestlers with a trainer like Khali. All he likely is is a name on the place to attract people to it. I highly doubt he handles the day-to-day.

Kinda like Killer Kowalski on his final years or Eddie Sharkey in Minnesotta, the Road Warriors said that Eddie never got in the ring to teach them stuff, and Daivari said that Eddie hadn't gotten to the ring since Rick Roode went there.

A little more on the potential TV deals, both are bigger than DA in terms of potential audience and one is a paid deal like the early years of Smackdown where they would buy air time and try to make the money back on advertising which they would control.
I've got to imagine that one is WGN. They've wanted wrestling for years, even having WWE Superstars at one point, and were the losers in the last TNA TV deal simply because they wanted TNA to take 3 months off to refresh before starting on the network.

No self respecting network is gonna take TNA. They just need to google Dixie Carter and learn that she lied to Spike TV about Russo's employment, and that she has insulted the Destination America executives.
Why would someone go into business with a dishonest and incompetent person?

WGN wanted TNA and they were brushed off by them because they wanted to take time off and plan things out. TNA and Ditzy will likely demand the same stuff that DA gave them to air on it. If WGN wants wrestling, why not ROH once their run with DA ends? Be a lot cheaper and less of a headache to put up with.
They should also know that they'll be taken off the air and preempted if a Cubs, White Sox, or Bulls game happens to be on at that time.

Tribune and Sinclair are competitors and Sinclair is rumored to be finalizing a deal to buy the Tennis Channel and flip it to a general sports one with ROH as a major part of that.

I know they feud with one another, but... if you want a wrestling company, why not invest in a Chicagoland promotion instead of a national one with a horrendous track record. At least Sinclair bought a reputable, if not somewhat shaky, product when they did.

Hell after the debacle that happened last time, I wouldn't be surprised if Danny Davis tells them to f*** off. What debacle? What is the story between OVW and TNA? I always thought having OVW on side was smart. In terms of wrestling training it's a world class facility and is responsible for producing a lot of big name wrestlers. It also allowed TNA to sign developmental talent or send guys down who weren't quite ready for TV. Guys like Mahabali Shera would get tons of benefit if TNA were still with OVW.

Best I can figure is that it was a situation like when TNA worked with NJPW, where TNA got the better end of the deal and never returned the favor all that much.

It was a world class facility back in 2003. It hasn't produced anyone of any importance since its WWE affiliation.

DA would rather show something called "Slow TV" than TNA Impact.
