At this point, I wonder if it wouldn't be a bad idea trying Jonathan Harrison at guard. He couldn't beat out Holmes at center, but he is a huge body that run blocks well. Maybe he can do okay at that spot. It can't hurt at this point.

So, is this guy hurt, or is this guy 'hurt'?

So, is this guy hurt, or is this guy 'hurt'? If you are injured after the two minute warning you either lose a TO or the clock gets run down.

Had a flashback to a friend who sat on the sideline most of a season before being called over by the coach, asked if he was ready, and told to grab his ankle the moment the play was over. Ah, the honesty of football.

The Colts make me feel better about my Eagles being a hopeless mess of a team right now by being an even more hopeless mess of a team. Eagles take on the Jets next week. Think they can do better than the Colts have done? My Answer: I Hope
My Gut Feeling: I have no idea at this point

The thing with the Colts isn't just that they are 0-2. It's how bad they looked getting there. This is not a good team right now.

Jets win 20-7. First time they started 2-0 since 2011.

Their defensive line looks good despite starting two rookies, which was a weak spot last year. Injuries in the backfield played a role in their struggles tonight, but that isn't what cost them the game. That is the offensive line. The tthing is that most of their line depth were there last year, so if they were better than those who are starting they would be. I'll tell you one thing: no one gets why Grigson didn't try to sign Evan Mathis. That might have made a difference.

A better team with a competent quarterback would be leading by 20 at this point. Ryan Fitzpatrick is decent but he's not the kind of quarterback you can rely on to make a play. Compared to Geno, Fitzpatrick is practically a god. I mean, do we not remember Geno on MNF last year against the Dolphins when the Jets ran for a billion yards yet could not do anything throwing the ball?

The offensive line really sucks, and Andrew Luck's performance hasn't been quality, either. The defense, in spite of the injuries, has done an admirable job, though I was happy when Vontae Davis left the game due to injury because the idiot gave us 3 Holding penalties. It's also telling, in a way, that the Colts might benefit from a weak division. Just on the Grady & Big Joe show they discussed that Andrew Luck is 16-2 in AFC South games but is 10-11 against non-AFC South teams.

I heard someone this morning talking about how they started off 0-2 last year, but it just *looks* different. I still think Indy will be there when playoff time arrives, but they need to figure out their shit soon

Last night's game shows you just how an offensive line can make or break a team, even if you have an all-world talent at QB like Andrew Luck.
The Colts' GM did a godawful job at building this team.

I know! Steve Wisnieski was available and the Colts made no move for him. Mike Iupati was available as well and looking for a new home. Also, what was the point of releasing Gosder Cherilus if you were not going to use the money freed up to sign someone like Evan Mathis? Or anyone, for that matter?

Breaking down Andrew Lucks career he makes too many mistake to be all world, at least now.
29 turnovers last year isnt elite.

Again, and I'll scream it until I'm blue in the face, but if the rumors are true that Jim Irsay is deciding between Chuck Pagano and Ryan Grigson and he sticks with Grigson, then he's got even more of a problem with substances than any of us could have ever imagined. Ryan Grigson is a horrible general manager, arguably the very worst in the NFL. He's had Andrew Luck for three-plus seasons now and has done NOTHING to help him out. He's had one terrible draft after another and has whiffed on almost every free agent acquisition he's signed. This past spring when the Patriots cut ties with Darrelle Revis, Brandon Browner, Kyle Arrington, and Vince Wilfork, it looked like the window was open for Indianapolis to take the AFC reigns from the defending Super Bowl champions. And Grigson decides that his big free agent signings will be a washed-up Frank Gore and a slow, out-of-shape Andre Johnson, then drafts yet another wide receiver with the 29th pick in the Draft. It's like he's constructing a fantasy team, he's still locked in this mindset that WEAPONZ are what win a championship.

I've said it before and I'll say it again: Andrew Luck is one of the most over hyped QB's I've ever seen.

I've said it before and I'll say it again: Andrew Luck is one of the most over hyped QB's I've ever seen. Luck is that damn good, but football is a team sport and there isn't a whole much that Luck can do when he has no breathing room to drop back and throw accurate passes. Not even Brady or Rodgers could do much if they had to deal with an offensive line as bad as the Colts'. Their GM apparently would rather play Fantasy Football and sign older skill position players past their prime instead of building a solid core of linemen that can protect and block for your QB and runningbacks. It's like the exact opposite of how Tony Romo's viewed now versus how he used to be viewed. He went from overrated underachiever to one of the best in the NFL because Dallas rebuilt its entire offensive line. The Colts have quite frankly taken Luck for granted. It's like how it was with Peyton Manning in his last years with Indianapolis. You expect to suffer when you lose your starting QB, but Luck, like Peyton before him, is the only difference between the Colts being a perennial postseason contender to the worst team in the NFL.

The Colts are doing the same thing to Luck as they did to Manning when he was there. Don't give any help with the O-line for a couple years then after he gets one he takes them to 2 super bowls win one and then Luck gets his neck hurt sits for a year then he gets traded to another team.
