College Football Playoff Committee chairman Jeff Long said Baylor and TCU were among the toughest teams to evaluate simply because of their strength of schedule.
SoS (so far):
36. TCU 47. tOSU 54. Baylor
ESPN asked Committee chairman why is Alabama ranked higher than Florida if Florida beat Alabama's loss. Goes on about quality wins but ends up saying "Even though they're ranked 6 teams apart, they're much closer than you think."
What?

TCU, Baylor, OU, and OSU haven't played each other yet so the 12 is about to really heat-up. If TCU, Baylor, or Okie State comes out unscathed they'd absolutely have to be moved into the playoff. If a 12 team comes out with one loss they will probably need help to get in.

If a 12 team comes out with one loss they will probably need help to get in. Effectively the Big 12 is about to enter a round-robin tournament between those four teams to decide the conference champion. And said tournament starts this weekend.

Said it before, the Big XII is about to dine on itself and this is more than likely going to cause them to skip the CFP again. Cincy and Memphis will then be invited to join the conference

The fact that we are in the Top 10 already is just enough of an accomplishment for us this season.

Michigan State's gonna kill us, Iowa's gonna kill us, and Rutgers? Well, we just gave up 55 points to Purdue. I'm scared of what will happen against Rutgers.

I must ask for a Nebraska fan's opinion on the manufactured rivalry between Iowa and Big Red. I had heard that some fans resent the schools and the big ten force feeding a rivalry game. I know they are neighbor's but didn't have any history I was aware of. So what's the dilly? Is it legit or contrived?

I know they are neighbor's but didn't have any history I was aware of. So what's the dilly? Is it legit or contrived? Nebraska and Iowa do have a history of playing each other, but it's not really much of a rivalry. The teams have met 45 times, but it's kinda lopsided for Nebraska. The first 21 games were between 1891 and 1910. Then they played again between 1930 and 1946. Then they didn't really play each until for another 30 years. If you don't count the last 4 years, they really didn't play each other that often to be considered a rival, as they only played each other 6 times between 1979 and 2000. Plus this Heroes Trophy seems kinda forced. Same with the Nebraska/Wisconsin rivalry. They only played each other 10 times so far, Playing in 1901 first, and then not playing each other again for 64 years. Hell, before 2011, the last time the two played each other was 1974. A lot of my friends who are Husker fans and Hawkeye fans act like there's a rivalry there, going with posting memes about how the other fanbase is stupid, etc. Granted, I can't hate the Hawkeyes. My grandpa on my mom's side was a Hawkeyes fan. So they were like my no. 2 college team growing up. I feel the bigger rivalry for Nebraska right now is Minnesota. The two have played each other the most out of Nebraska's current rivals, which is 56 times since 1900. They played each other regularly from 1900 to 1974, then intermittent until 1990. And there's quite a bit of history there. Minnesota dominated when they were in their glory days, and then Nebraska dominated in their glory days. So right now, neither team is really in their glory days, so it's more about who wants it more. But that's just my feelings on it.
