Ambrose goes from main-eventing one year to curtain-jerking the next with a decent chance of being the one pinned. Not saying he's in jeopardy or anything, is still pretty damn over and generally pushed and all, just saying. He was on fire last year until they Brayed him and hilariously shoehorned Cena into the role of anti-Authority babyface. They obviously didn't "plan" for him to get that over so he had to be shut down immediately.

Aren't the pre-show matches still shown on YouTube and other sites? I imagine Orton and Ambrose -v- The Wyatts would be a better hook for last minute desperation Network sign ups than Zack Ryder -v- Heath Slater. Given it's a match that in some way or other has happened like three times on TV in the past couple weeks, probably not honestly. I hate if they do this, but maybe during the pre-show, something happens between Orton & Ambrose, given their history, which leads to them wrestling each other on the PPV itself.

It's very surprising and odd that the Orton match is on the pre show not only because of who is all involved but also because there is only six matches announced. I guess Cena still hasn't had a match announced although I don't know if his vacation starts before the PPV or not. I hope he doesn't have a match as the only real possibilities for opponents for him are Sheamus or Big Show, both of which are matches that I do not want to see. I thought they might have him go against Ziggler but they already he already beat him on Raw so I guess that's most likely out the window. John Pollock, of note from Review-a-Wai and Fight Network, intimated on Review-a-RAW this week that there would be a Cena US open challenge at Hell in a Cell. Probably one of the more intriguing elements going in, considering Cena's upcoming sabbatical.

Ambrose and Orton on the preshow is ridiculous. Gotta make room at the top for Kane in 2015! They shouldn't be on the pre-show Kane or no Kane. Imo The Pre-show should be for mid card and lower card talents or the occasional NXT appearance. Top acts should all be on the main card (and you'd have to get the Network or buy the PPV if you want to see them) or not on the PPV at all.

Like I said earlier in this post, after seeing what happened on Raw, I think that something is going to happen during the match against The Wyatts between Ambrose & Orton, leading them to wrestling each other during the show itself. I can see WWE doing something like that. Also, like I said, I don't think it's a big deal that 2 top names are on the pre-show. Everything is on the Network anyway, so it's just the beginning of the Pay-Per-View and for the people that still order it on PPV, then they get screwed out of the match, but that's their loss for not having the Network.

Curtain jerking still suggests low status. WWE seems quietly driven to dismantle any hierarchy on its cards as if it were a radical, new idea when all that seems to come of it is lazy booking. The pre-show should be the place for NXT talent and others to warm up the audience. The Network allows way more people to see the pre-show but its still part of a single event that should have pacing and build to the main event. By being in the pre-show the match will have a cold audience and no one will take it seriously as important.

I'm hoping the Brock/Taker match will be good but I'm also looking forward to Reigns/Wyatt. Seems like a good feud to have a hell in a cell match.

I think they just did the match just to get Ambrose & Orton on the card. They didn't want to do another 6-Man Tag and wanted Reigns VS Wyatt in a one-on-one Hell In A Cell Match. Also, I think that's just going to be used as set-up for a singles match between Ambrose & Orton on the main show. So, it's not going to mean anything on the pre-show.

By having then wrestle on the pre-show THEN having a singles match on the main card, they're wasting a pre-show match that could've been given to someone else. When there are so many workers not being used, no one should be pulling double duty.

Also, we still have 1 more week of TV before the Pay-Per-View, so you never know something might happen and the match gets changed.

Ambrose and Orton will probably have a singles match at Survivor Series and then have a TLC match or something during TLC. Afterwards, they'll probably end their feud during the Royal Rumble where Ambrose eliminates Orton and wins the whole thing setting up the Shield triple threat.

What a weird choice for a kick-off match. I'd have put Ryback/Owens in that slot but whatever.

Man, sat here all day trying to figure out if I really wanted to watch this, trying to get hyped (stay the f*** away Mojo), and finally decided to watch SNF instead...only to just now realize that this isn't tonight by wondering why I couldn't remember the Austin podcast. Man I can be a fool sometimes.

Man I can be a fool sometimes. If it makes you feel any better, I went for an entire day earlier this year thinking that Battleground was Summerslam because Lesnar was wrestling on it. I'm thinking, "how the hell is Taker gonna do a run in during a show to set up a match on the same show!?"
