The continuation on that particular play really should have resulted in a TD on the overturn. The replay rules are funky. Would't be fair to either team since the whistle would stop play for large chunks of players on the field. They could stand to have better replay rules though. On some plays I agree, but on that particular one everyone kept chasing the ball. The NFL can't do much of anything right these days though. lol

I f***ing hate the NFL's stupid rules. Catches aren't catches, downs aren't downs, and having zero ball control is in control of the ball. f***ing hell.

Wow, that one hell of a sight. Almost looks like you could clean it up and host a game today but knowing what it was brings the sadness.

"With cable you're stuck with whatever game's on."
And the game it shows is Patriots vs Packers, um DirecTV, you probably should have chosen different teams.

You know "skinny legs" Peyton is the real one. No way he can still work them out.

Yeah, that has to be a pass. Damn.

I have no clue how that was not a pass. I'll take but I honestly do not like it.

Next week is a horrible Saints team vs a Cowboys team with no Romo and no Dez, and the following week is Giants vs Niners.
NBC may be going to the NFL to see if they start flexing games right now.

I think Slay has learned to not give Peyton reason to learn your name.

I don't see Denver going anywhere in the playoffs. They beat the accident-prone KC and the Lions and Ravens aren't exactly good teams.
They need to evaluate what they're doing and why, and improve their team as a whole.

It was ugly, Manning looked great at times and not so good at others and the officiating is shit but it is a win. If the defense can hold up while the offense gets it together, we could be great. That is a big if though. I will say Manning is looking less like shit with the additional time "under center" and the move to the pistol which is nice.

Based on the GIF, isn't that similar to what happened to Brady in 2008? EDIT: Could it have been in violation of the Palmer Rule? Could be....although that would be karma biting Pittsburgh in the ass because it was they who injured Palmer on a late hit (that wasn't called by the refs, if I remember) and caused for that rule to exist. Kimo's hit on Palmer still would have been legal under the current rule (and back then) because it was coming off a block. In the 2006 rulings, they've cited similar injuries by Palmer, Roethlisberger, and Brian Griese the previous season.

The AFC South is a NIGHTMARE 1-2 Titans, 1-2 Colts, 1-2/0-3 Houston and 1-2 Jaguars Yikes It's the reason the Colts will make the playoffs again despite their troubles. They might even right the ship by playoff time beating up those shitty teams on their schedule. They should get back Toler and Butler to shore up their one truly weak spot on their defense (the rookies on the D-line have been stellar so far). Their O-line did better today despite still getting 8 penalties or so again. Maybe using Reitz in at RT and getting Louis (inactive today) back at RG might be the answer to make them at least competent.

That is undeniable. I really think that they ought to move Jonathon Harrison from back-up center to right guard and leave Reitz out there in order to try to be a power running team for a while. Harrison struggled in pass protection, but he is an excellent run blocker who is really strong and fast for his size. He should be able to open up some huge holes to let Gore into the second level, which would allow Gore to take advantage of Johnson and the Colts excellent TEs as downfield run blockers. That should make teams reluctant to blitz so often, letting Luck kill them with play action passes.

Anywhere that has a video or gif of the play that was discussed on the previous page? I didn't get to see the game last night.

KC @ GB -7.5
Green Bay trying to be the first favorite to win on MNF this year. MNF favorites so far this season are not only 0-3 A.T.S., but also 0-3 in the W/L column, (Eagles, Vikings, Colts)

Good start by the Chiefs defense. They are really overpaying the fact that Smith and Rodgers were drafted the same year.
