I'm not a particular fan of saying one weaker member of the team is the "Janetty" (I know Michaels hated it, can't imagine Marty cared for it much either), but let's name teams and who we think the weaker member of the team is. The guy who gets less focus, is the poorer wrestler, the weaker promo, had less singles success..all that.
I'll start - Devon is "the Janetty" of the Dudley Boys.
Your turn.

John Morrison is the Jannetty to Miz's HBK...
Edit: Even though it lead to some fun points later on let me add what I wrote later--"Nah just quoting Miz; supposedly when he walked through the curtains after he won the title, he (playfully?) yelled out in JoMo's direction, 'now who's the Jannetty??' (paraphrased)"

John Morrison is the Jannetty to Miz's HBK... Woefully so IMHO.

Thing is, Jannetty was NOT a poor worker. He was the case of where his personal demons made him so unreliable that he wasn't worth pushing. When you make 1990s era Shawn Michaels look sane and trustworthy, that's saying something. Jannetty never had enough charisma on the mic to main event, but there's no reason he couldn't have been a solid IC level guy for a while. He was also a bit older anyway. By the time HBK won the title Marty was already about 36 years old and somebody still trying to be a Rocker teen idol in his mid 30s is kinda sad. That's the interesting thing about Shawn. He had the back injury at age 33, so we never saw the awkward transition of him from being Heartbreak Kid/DX era Shawn to a more veteran old guy. When he came back in 2002 he already was a veteran old guy.
Edge and Christian are a good example of what I mean. Edge was the more pushed singles commodity of course, but that didn't mean Christian couldn't be a successful journeyman (like Jannetty should have been). I don't think Miz and Morrison really are a good example. While Miz got the title and is still employed, it's not like he has a shred of credibility left. Morrison was just a black hole of suck on the mic, worse than Jannetty ever was.

I'll get a few of the easy, bigger ones out of the way: Matt Hardy of The Hardy Boyz Christian of E&C Jim Neidhart of The Hart Foundation
I'd also throw in Ray Rougeau of The Fabulous Rougeau Brothers.

Here's the question I dropped a couple years ago. If Morrison was the Jannety to Miz's Michaels, what would that make Joey Mercury? The best answer I got was Leif Cassidy. But given Mercury's recent role, I'm not sure anymore

I'll throw out Warlord from The Powers of Pain, since Barbarian had a steady career till almost the end of WCW.
Tama from the Islanders. Jim Powers from The Young Stallions
And of course
Conquistador Dos

I hate this. Morrison had plenty of success and was more consistent then Janetty. The Miz wasn't on top for all that long like and HBK. The gap between the two is so small the fact people need to make a comparison between every tag team is annoying.

Older bros Rick Steiner and Stevie Ray only had 8 1/3% chances of becoming as successful as their brothers.

How, Ron was a former WCW World Heavyweight, World Tag and U.S. Tag champion before the WWF. Of course he was. He had a great career. But the "Janetty" is decided after the team breaks up--not before. After the APA broke up, JBL had the stronger career.

To me Scott Hall was more over than Nash. Yes Nash held the heavyweight title in both companies but I believe Hall overall was a better performer and better on the mic. He could've been the champ if not for his demons.

Surprisingly both Sting and Warrior became big stars after they time together as the Blade Runners.

It would be hard for JBL not to have the better career after APA broke up because the break up was the result of Ron's retirement.
