John Morrison is the Jannetty to Miz's HBK... I'd say Morrison is the Jannetty to Miz' Leif Cassady. Miz isn't close to being the Michaels in any capacity.

John Morrison is the Jannetty to Miz's HBK... Woefully so IMHO. Nah just quoting Miz; supposedly when he walked through the curtains after he won the title, he (playfully?) yelled out in JoMo's direction, 'now who's the Jannetty??' (paraphrased)

Yeah, I have to say the APA doesn't fit here. As others have said it was more of the end of Simmons career "holding him back" rather than any of the OPs criteria. Side by side, from start to finish, I'd put their careers about even actually. The comparison and discussion is definitely worthy of it's own thread.

A better question would be Who is the Shawn.

Uhhhh. One of the greatest IC Champions ever? The first person to pin the Undertaker? One of the most over babyfaces in the 80s in the WWF? Nah.

I'd put Strike Force alongside teams like The APA, MNM, The Nasty Boys & Deuce 'n Domino where there wasn't a Jannetty.

Multi time IC Champion, multi time tag champ, ECW Champ, and most people forget that he was pretty damn over during his face run. LOD didn't really have a distinguished star of the team. I'd say Ax was the Michaels of Demolition, because he was also The Masked Superstar, who was a pretty big player in the territory days.

You can't discount Darsow's run with Crush and as Krusher Khruschev, The Blacktop Bully and The Repo Man. It's a wash IMO.

John Morrison is the Jannetty to Miz's HBK... Comparing Miz in any way to HBK is a tremendous stretch to me.

IT doesn't matter. Shawn Michaels was totally the "Jannetty" to HHH in DX anyway.
After all, HHH is the toughest, smartest, most powerful, sexiest and has the biggest penis of any champion of all time.
(This is a joke, but I feel like I could make a case for it if I cared to)

You're arguing that an ~10 year national and worldwide exposed midcard run throughout the NWA, WWF and WCW in the mid 80s - mid 90s is worth less than a ~10 year territory run in over the 70s... This is not an argument you will win Dick.

Guess the dark side is no match for the Flying Jalapeno. Chico cheated and hit Taker with the urn, twice if my memory is right. It also wasn't on mainstram WWF TV, so it doesn't really count.

John Morrison is the Jannetty to Miz's HBK... Comparing Miz in any way to HBK is a tremendous stretch to me. A member of a tag team who held the World title and main evented Wrestlemania while his partner never went about IC status. Not that much of a stretch.

Rick Steiner from the Steiners Scott Hall from the Outsiders Simply untrue. Especially the first one. But yes, this is just not accurate at all.

Not that much of a stretch. Let's not pretend Miz had a ten year run on top. He won the title, feuded with Jerry Lawler, was the third wheel in a one on one match at Wrestlemania, lost the title and then never sniffed main event status again. I'd say Miz has had a better run than Morrison even ignoring that 4 or 5 month period, but I don't think it's a night and day difference.
