WCW had a wellness policy? They did. It was something like "If you die due to drugs, we stop paying you" or something like that. Their "Don't do the drugs right in front of the testing person" policy went over surprisingly well with the boys.

You're all a bunch of meanies. I enjoy Hornswoggle as a performer and he seems to be a cool guy in interviews and podcasts. Hope he can make his way back to the main roster! Come on. They're just a few little jokes. Just a few small jokes. Just a couple tiny jokes. Just a couple WWE have a midget on the roster already who can work and we don't need a wrestler who's been doing nothing for years and was part of a joke for a wrestler who hasn't been active in five years jokes...oh, that didn't work, did it?

I'm not even sure what's funny about this, but I can't stop laughing. It just seems so random. ... RKO WELLNESS VIOLATION OUTTA NOWHERE!!! I laughed too, out of all people.

Everyone who has tested positive in the last 7 years has not been any higher than the mid card Orton received a wellness violation suspension in May 2012.

Do they ever announce what substance led to the suspension? While we're at it, if it was a controlled substance, do they report their findings to any authority?

Not really. I'd only hear speculation of what it was on dirt sheets and the like. Sometimes it might not even be a substance and they suspend someone for acting out of line with their policy. I'm wondering if it might have something to do with what that stripper said about him.

]Don't forget habitual gassers like Brian Knobbs and Lenny Lane! Luckily WCW's wellness program got 'em. WCW had a wellness policy? Yeah, it was basically "Don't be a Grade A ass in public". For instance, Scott Hall's alcoholism, or Juvi smoking a joint that someone spiked with PCP and running around a hotel lobby naked

I think it speaks to the brilliance of Vince McMahon that he pays a midget to travel arena to arena to sit on his hands and adhere to drug testing just on the off chance that Vince makes an impulse call that they need to throw him around for a while.

I could be wrong but I believe privacy laws prevent all that. That was my assumption as well but at the same time you'd also assume, especially in today's environment, that WWE would try to stay well away from any liability for someone under contract wrecking their body with an illegal drug. If WWE didn't publicly acknowledge it and the person ended up really harming themselves with the drug I'd assume that would blow back on WWE hard. Though I suppose they COULD just suspend them and just not say what the issue was, leaving anyone not in the know to assume it was something legal just not allowed by WWE. A lot of assumptions, of course, I'm just curious as to whether or not WWE has a policy in place that basically says "If we catch you doing (insert drug here) we'll take the information to the authorities". Just to cover their own ass.

The speculation is that he failed to provide the urine test, rather than being detected for something. Whether he missed it by accident or maliciously would then be the question, if that's the case.
