Would that not have been the biggest moment ever in wrestling?

Only if he arrived at the arena In a tank with Triple H at his side.

It would've been a case of technique vs brute force.
I wonder if Vince ever mentioned it to Bischoff when he hired him.
I would've also liked to see Meng corner Eric and just seeing Triple H pissed himself when Meng stared him down.

Bischoff kicking Vince's ass would have been tremendous.

I wonder if Vince ever mentioned it to Bischoff when he hired him. Considering all the other stories about Vince- either he did, or I want to believe that he did,, every time Vince and Bischoff had a conversation, Vince changed the topic eventually to "So, you still serious about that fight?"

Bischoff had a lot more to gain from this fight and Vince had a lot more to lose. I'm not sure who would have won but I think under the right circumstances neither of them would have backed down.

On the JBL interview show Bischoff said he could have cared less if Vince showed up and beat him down. It would have been a massive moment for his company either way. Thing is, and I do wonder....how? It's not like there would be much of a follow up since Vince wouldn't do any cross promotion in the wake of this brawl. It would just be a random one off fight between two rival promoters that in the end really wouldn't draw any money outside of a PPV replay (since no one took Bischoff seriously in the first place during the build to the PPV).
I tend to think if Vince did show up security wouldn't have let him in the building.

Isn't Bischoff a black belt? He would've stomped him

I also could see Bischoff not being particularly keen on going letting it go too far, in part since it's not exactly like there'd be any time to lay down ground rules. He might have just had him turned away and tried to get mileage out of that, or hope Vince would be interested in hashing out something.

I tend to think if Vince did show up security wouldn't have let him in the building. It'd give them an "anything could happen" kick, they're so hot, even the owner of the competition comes over to their show, so you have to stick around and see what else could happen? Later on, it could be their version of the DX Jeep/Foley title win, the time when they were able to sucker Vince into showing up on their show, so they got more in PPV buys and ratings from that boost.

Bischoff may be a black belt, but McMahon is a tough crazy old bastard and he would've literally taken one of Bischoff's eyes.

I believe Bischoff fought in some tournaments and did fairly well, if I'm remembering what I read. I'm not really knowledgeable about fighting, but I wonder how well those skills would serve him if Vince just plowed into him and started gouging his eyes. That's why this fight would not have worked, because for Bischoff it would have been a competition with nothing to lose and with Vince it would have been an everything to lose fight for survival.

If Vince just ran at him, I'd take Bischoff, if he had any level of skill he could avoid and reverse a mad attack.

It's hard to tell without having seen either guy in a fight. Yeah but Eric also wrestled in high school, if everything else fails, I can see him going for a single leg and taking down Vince. Also a legit tough guy, Ernest "The Cat" Miller, in his shoot, said that Bischoff is actually pretty tough.

Vince would probably roid up so much in preparation for the fight he'd tear his everything just climbing into the ring.
