If Vince had shown up & if Eric had kicked his ass then today there would be no JBL sit down interview on the Network because I'm sure Vince would put Eric on the blacklist with Nailz, Chyna ETC. I love the story about Nailz humbling him, I wonder if VKM lost the guys respect after that.

For what it's worth, here's what Dave Meltzer had to say about it: So what Dave is saying is that Vince has no chance? maybe even no chance in hell?

If you believe Vince, he never regarded Bischoff as his rival. He regarded Ted Turner as his real enemy.

God do I wish I lived in a world where WWE was cleverly crafting their post WCW propoganda around the fact that Bischoff kicked Vince's ass once.

Isn't Bischoff a black belt? He would've stomped him Not necessarily. I've known plenty of black belts who couldn't fight for shit. Quality control is not high in the martial arts. It's hard to tell without having seen either guy in a fight. Depressingly true. For every good club where you really have to put in the grind to become a dangrade, there's a club where they basically hand you a new belt every month. Vince is mad as a box of frogs and bigger/stronger. I think he would be able to take a hit or two, and the fighter who wants it most has a big advantage. His double quad tear solidified him as the Black Knight from Monty Python for me. But with the Cat, DDP etc. saying Bischoff's credentials are legit, it could pan out exactly that way.

Vince's ego couldn't handle the fact that he was getting beat buy a guy who auditioned to be one of his announcers a few years before. He had to turn it into this story where a billionaire and his cable conglomerate were bullying the poor little family owned World Russling Federation.

Vince the roid freak would've tore his quad just getting into the ring, as happened to him several years later.

If Vince showed up he would just ended up embarrassing himself on PPV.
That and people are putting way too much stock into this whole being Vince being crazy. Its not going make up for him being a slow uncoordinated lumbering slab of roid infused muscle who doesn't know how to fight nor would it give him any sort of advantage against someone who is a trained fighter like Bischoff.

I'm pretty sure Stephanie was graduating from Boston University, so Vince was unable to go anyway. I imagine him being angry he had to be there.

Vince got taken down by Bret Hart of all people. He'd have no chance against Bischoff.

Vince is a blowhard that's only tough in the typical carny "some guy said he's tough in a bar once!" fasion. I'll take the guy with fighting experience every time.

Vince got taken down by Bret Hart of all people. He'd have no chance against Bischoff. To be fair, Bret was an accomplished amateur wrestler and was trained by someone with the 'Wrestlers need to be legitimately tough to protect the business so all rookies must be tortured' mindset. He's not Brock Lesnar or Meng, but he's legit enough to hold his own against most he met in wrestling.

Well, for Bischoff's credit- Bischoff also spent a good period of time in regular karate tournaments and competing in the sport beyond just being a black belt, so it's likely he was on the good level of black belt there. Even there, however, there's a positive to Bischoff's ability in martial arts, and a curse in it: Since Bischoff was so experienced touring for karate, that'd likely point more to Bischoff being a sport karate fighter, and moves that'll get you points in a sport karate fight can also leave you open if your opponent is a trained street fighter (and we can safely assume Vince McMahon would fight dirty.) Bischoff's credentials are probably legitimate, but the fact Vince McMahon would be much dirtier a fighter would give him at least a puncher's chance.

Plus, can't guarantee it's the same everywhere in the USA, but in the UK at least, in the era Bischoff would have been competing, sport karate was f***ing brutal. Not much if any pulling of punches, and a lot of training to seriously physical levels. Not street-fight dirty tactics no, but rough-as.

Is there anything to substantiate that Vince knows the slightest thing about fighting or that he has even ever been in a fight? Juicing and hangin' & bangin' with the Hulkster does not give you any credentials as far as I know. We're discussing whether or not Vince would be a match for Bischoff, but maybe we should be discussing how Vince would fare against someone more along the lines of Howard Finkel.
