I think the Undisputed title changing hands as quickly as it did was also due to the untested nature of the champion being on both shows during the brand split. What was the champion's house show schedule like? And it probably affected the booking, hence a need to switch things up more often.

I personally rejected his super push because I felt he was forced down our throats and I got sick of WWE telling us how great he was. You wouldn't have dared. No one rejects Brock and lives to tell the tale.

Even then, everybody knew Brock was a once in a lifetime find. A huge, young dude who looked like he was carved from marble, was incredibly strong, and was able to move with speed and agility that just seemed unreal.
His only weakness was his promo ability, and he had, arguably, the best promo guy OF ALL TIME covering that for him.
If Brock hadn't gotten smart to the realities of being an early-2000's WWE Superstar and stuck around, he'd probably have been THE guy ever since.

Seemed like he was supposed to be Champion at some point that year, but they were in a frenzy to reverse the low ratings of 4.0.
