No matter what they do, nothing will top the disappointment of last year when Bryan was eliminated quickly and Shattered Dreams Productions popped up on the Titantron behind him. absolutely. the purposeful 'f*** you' booking down to the little things like that just felt like it was "Royal Rumble 2: Vince's Revenge" too much of it to be coincidental, like Vince had a strict script of how he wanted it all to go. "Eliminate all of their favorites by two people that shouldn't be at the end. Also, eliminate them in another 'f*** you' way if possible. Dump them, yeah just dump them" -"what about when Daniel Bryan is eliminated?" "Have Goldust come out next and Shattered Dreams immediately appear on the Titantron"

I used to love Royal Rumble talk. Not so much anymore. Hurts too much. But I hope it's good unlike the last 2.

Royal Rumble is suplex city. Brock enters number one. Enter, Suplex, eliminate, repeat. I'd love it if they did this for the first five or so entrants until maybe New Day or the Wyatt Family all come out together. They team up to slow Lesnar down, next entrant makes it in and helps try to beat down Lesnar. Maybe bring one more entrant in and they all finally manage to eliminate him. Lesnar, pissed he won't be getting his title back at Mania, hulks out and destroys everyone then leaves.

Yeah I think it's less J&J and Road Dogg's fault and they were just told how Vince/whomever wanted the match to go and booked it around that plan. Sucks, they probably knew it sucked when they were told how the higher up's wanted it to go.

I really hope they don't book it again in a manner where the winner gets booed, so I'll be ready for all the lambasting.

I always hate how the winner is predictable. There's always like only 4 or 5 guys who have a chance of winning it. They should throw us a curveball and have some perpetual midcard schmuck somehow manage to win it; that way future Rumbles would be unpredictable since it would make it seem like anyone has a chance of winning it. They dropped the ball the time they teased Santino won. The winner getting a title shot at WrestleMania stipulation makes it impossible for a surprise midcard guy win, which is why there's only four or five guys at most that have a chance every year. Having only one World Title now has made it even worse. Now not even the semi main eventer high upper midcard guys can't even win like Del Rio in 2011 and Sheamus in 2012. Last year there was only three possibilities with Reigns as the strong favorite, followed by Bryan and then Ziggler as an outside possibility. I think they should change to the winner getting the first title chance after WrestleMania at Extreme Rules as that would make the field a lot more wide open and make the match a bit more suspenseful as far as the winner goes. I know it's a bit of a ways off but to me you can't really do it at Fast Lane either because if a midcarder type guy would win the Rumble then you would know it was obvious that he would just be a speed bump for the champion going into Mania as you would know that they weren't going to have him in the main event at their biggest show.

I know Shield Triple Threat is the most obvious fantasy booking going but seriously, it sets itself up quite handily. Ambrose is the most credible, healthy choice to win the Rumble that a majority of fans would be happy with. Have the Authority try to drive a wedge between Ambrose and Reigns by making one #1 in the Rumble and the other #30.

Play it safe and have the guy who wins it be someone that is a) a credible choice for the main event and b) is somewhat over with both casual fans, more hardcore ones and the edgy 'cheer the heel' guys. Ziggler or Ambrose would be great choices, it's not like the winner HAS to win the title at Mania, they just need to have a Rumble that doesn't get roundly shat on, for the sake of the concept itself if nothing else.

Have Reigns win it at the end. Then put the title on Cena. Put them together at Mania and have Reigns go over Cena, which will make the crowd happy.

Am I the only one who feels like the "mystery entrant" thing has run its course? They have a more than large enough roster to not need to fill the Rumble out with old timers.

One, maybe two is enough I think. There was one year they had Road Dogg, Ricardo Rodriguez, Kharma, Jim Duggan and all three announcers.

And at this point I think it would actually be better to have stars from NXT be mystery entrants to help give them more exposure

I don't see why they CAN'T do it. Everyone knows that WWE is going to give the "real main event" to one of the part timers. The presence of guys like Sting, Lesnar, Taker, etc. should give WWE more leeway to shakeup the title picture a bit. A miracle midcard/lower card Rumble win could work to give a guy a little bit of credibility and they don't even have to win the title.

What should happen: Order of entry #1 John Cena #2 Roman Reigns #3 Kane #4 Big Show #5 Sheamus #6 Triple H
Intense brawling ensues, culminating in all 6 being eliminated just as the 10 second countdown for #7 begins
#7 Daniel Bryan, who gets the 2 minutes of empty ring time to pump up the crowd and goes on to win.
What will happen:
A) The most stupid and/or most boring winner
B) Daniel Bryan does win, but we find out the next night on Raw that the whole thing was an homage to Roddy Piper's classic Starrcade 1996 win that everyone loves so much. At no point during the build up to the rumble will they ever say that the winner gets a title shot, everyone will just assume it because that's how it's been since 1993. Daniel Bryan's reward for winning the rumble? Absolutely nothing. Vince McMahon will just come out and announce Roman Reigns as the #1 contender and then spend the rest of the segment cackling maniacally.

I think they should set a boundary that anyone employed by WWE during the Attitude Era or earlier is not allowed to enter. That still gives them leeway for a few surprise returns, without having everything dragged down into yesteryear.
