A theater in my area is showing it today. I have been told that it's a good movie. Should I see it?

Absolutely go. Not only is it a good movie, but for such a vivid immersive world, the theater is the ideal way to see it, and theatrical screenings are RARE! This might be your only chance to catch it on the big screen, especially for the first time. Can't recommend it enough.

It's a great movie.
I cant imagine a theater lessening the experience.
I would definitely go if I had a chance.

Might I add, it's one of the most quoted movies in pop culture. Seeing the film will FINALLY make a lot more things make sense.

If its a date night or fun night out yeah there are worse movies. But if its just to see the movie itself I think you could get as satisfying experience renting it or getting a cheap Blu Ray and saving the money in case you don't like it.
I think of going to a rerelease as a boutique item where you're already a fan and you want a better experience then the one you can provide yourself.

It was early Reiner (anything past a few good men isn't worth it) and its bascially a "fantasy" piece so while I personally wouldn't make the trip to see it in the theater (just looked it up and it is playing locally for me) if you've never seen it before I'd say make the trip to see it.

Ah I see you are also going for the Cinemark experience Well, I have gone to see plenty of movies that were part of the Cinemark Classic Series. One of the last ones I saw was Stripes, which I thought was hilarious.

I just watched it for the first time a few weeks ago. I'm 33. What a fun movie, don't know why it took me so long to see it.
