ugh.... I think part of the Pats fan base is passing the STL Cards base on the "delusions of grandeur" scale. Only people they have to blame for the situation they went through in the offseason is the face staring back at them in the damn mirror. It's about a 50/50 split on the pats being one of the elite teams and just how terrible some other teams look. I mean some teams just seem incapable of getting out of their own way.

Please, just because the Patriots will go like, a gazillion and 0 this year and leave their enemies stomped in a pool of blood and urine does not mean I have "delusions of grandeur." Also, Tom Brady will be elected the new Jesus. AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH! ROGER GOODELL IS IN MY MIRROR!!!! (pulls out Pat Patriot figure) AWAY FOUL DEMON! THE POWER OF TOM COMPELS YOU! THE POWER OF TOM COMPELS YOU! You left out the puddle of vomit Hey if they didn't do anything, Goodell wouldn't have been all up in their business now would he. Not going to debate how everything got escalated, we got a thread for that already, but like I said who's fault is it this whole mess got started to begin with. That was a pretty good post though, I legit chuckled. ugh.... I think part of the Pats fan base is passing the STL Cards base on the "delusions of grandeur" scale. Yeah there's alot of mediocre to bad teams right now. I mean going into this week if you were above 500 you were one of the top 8 records in the league. Just looks like, at least in the AFC, it's the usual suspects again only they each have their own fleas. Pats have a meh D but you know BB will get that fixed as they go. Broncos have a meh O but you know they'll fix that as soon as Kubiak quits f***ing with shit and lets the real O-Coord (Peyton) run things. Problem with the Bengals is the guy taking the snaps is one pick away from blown confidence and a 9-7/10-6 finish. Other than those 3 you got maaayyybbbeee Pitt when Ben gets back if they are still in it. KC? They are in their usual "best of the 2nd teir teams" mode. Beat the teams they should handily and manage to find a way to lose against teams they need to beat to take the next step. Colts? Yeah no. GM killed that team by bringing in the Geritol crew instead of addressing real needs. I mean at this point and seeing what I saw about them last night, maybe this is just what they are. A .500 team outside that god awful division. Yeah this gets you to the playoffs, but only gets you Conference runner up banners at best hanging from the rafters.

Clowney is some shit. I mean anyone that was paying attention to him at SC could tell you that he was going to be a bust, but it's amazing that he went #1.

There's only two late games this week? They'll both probably be blowouts. Good times.

Problem with the Bengals is the guy taking the snaps is one pick away from blown confidence and a 9-7/10-6 finish. A Patriots versus Broncos AFC Championship Game in Denver would be fascinating for so many reasons. - The Patriots' defense, although appearing to slowly come together, is still a massive work in progress. The secondary isn't the catastrophe many projected it to be but the run defense has been getting gashed at an alarming rate. The way to beat the Patriots is to control the ball and control the clock, leaving Tom Brady and the offense with as little time to work as possible. That's how the Giants beat them in the Super Bowl twice and that's still the way to beat them now. If a team can control the ball for something like 35-plus minutes, they can dictate the pace. - The Broncos' defense is off to a scalding hot start, although there are potential chinks in the armor. At some point, Father Time is going to catch up with DeMarcus Ware, just as he did last season. And although Aqib Talib looks like he's on pace for an All-Pro season, his health is still a major concern. I know it from watching him tap out of consecutive AFC Championship Games in 2013 and 2014. But still, that defense on paper, especially the pass rush, appears to have all the tools necessary to give the Patriots everything they can handle. Again, going back to the two Super Bowl losses to the Giants, if a defense can get pressure on Brady with only four pass rushers and drop the other seven into coverage, it can make things nightmarish for him. - Denver is the only city in which Tom Brady has had actual, documented, long-term struggles. Not "Rex Ryan has his number but in actuality Brady still rips his defense to shreds" struggles. If the Broncos can get homefield advantage, it's a game changer. If they have to come to Foxboro in January, I like the Patriots' chances. That's why when the two teams match up at the end of November, it could go a long way in determining not only playoff seeding, but who could be representing the AFC in Santa Clara at Super Bowl 50.

Agree with just about all this. Really think Ware is going to be ok this year though. They've cut him back to 70 percent of the snaps so far this year and I can see that number decreasing as Duane Ray and Shaq Barrett (who has been a tremendous suprise) get used to the day in day out structure of the NFL. Yeah Talib will miss games eventually, he always does. Just hope it's during the season and not post season. Also true about Brady in Denver. I know he just got back to .500 vs Denver lifetime last year, but I want to say he's something like 2-4 in Denver. (just for some salt though, a certain GM was 11-0 against NE for his career )For real though, that game in Nov. could determine the 1 seed for the postseason. Maybe the Colts as they got both Denver and NE at home this year.....yeah j/k, too many gaping holes on that squad to take serious. Cincy is a real wild card though. They might have the most talented team in the league other than QB. If he can just be good they can beat anyone, anywhere at any time. This could be the year they actually cash in on all that talent.

Still not entirely impressed with the Colts. I mean, the AFC South victories are nice, but we're playing against a team with no talent at all on their roster (Jacksonville), a team whose coach is adamant he can win without a quarterback (Houston), and a developmental project (Tennessee). I still think next Sunday's game won't be pretty against the Patriots.

It bears mentioning that if the NFL had their way, Greg Hardy would be playing his first game of the season today while Tom Brady sat due to a suspension.

The Titans are off to a scalding-hot start, fumbling the kickoff inside their own five-yard line. But naturally, a Buffalo penalty negates it.

It's amazing how little faith coaches in the NFL have in their kickers this season. Ken Whisenhunt just passed up an opportunity at a 54-yard field goal attempt to instead punt the ball away.
