It's been a while since I've seen it, how does the Vader/Bulldog match hold up?

He had like 2 or 3 great matches against Kobashi from 99 to 2000, short but effective.

I don't remember which Vader/Guardian Angel match it was that I saw, but I remember hating it because Boss Man wasn't selling shit. Also, I can't endorse any Vader/Hogan matches. Vader was my favorite wrestler in WCW as a kid, and seeing Hogan no-sell the Powerbomb made me so angry. What about Vader kicking out of the leg drop after a 1 count at Superbrawl V? I thought Hogan made him look great in that match. He did. WCW went on complete damage control after that stupid power bomb no-sell. If you watch SuperBrawl (and Uncensored, I believe), it's cut out of the video packages as if Vader laid him out and left. You know...the smart result.

WWF really missed the boat on Vader, totally misused. He should have won that belt at Summerslam or Survivor Series and then dropped it to Undertaker at Wrestlemania 13.

Anything he did in UWFi. Particularly the matches vs. Nobuhiko Takada. Depends on whether you'll like the style, but if you do, the matches are absolutely fantastic.

An underrated gem of a match that you should definitely give a watch is Vader against Shamrock at an In Your House Show from May in '97. It gets overlooked way too often, but it seriously rocks and is one of my favourite matches from that year. It was Shamrocks first match so he wasn't very polished as a wrestler yet, but if you want to see two serious tough guys beating the crap out of each other, this is the match for you. I was going to suggest this one based solely on Vader knocking Shamrock's f'n lights out with one punch after getting stiffed really hard by him all match.

Vader vs Shamrock from Cold Day in Hell 97. It's not great technical match but super stiff, unlike anything you've seen from WWE at that time (or since then).
Vader at one point yells ease-off and during the end of the match he knocks Shamrock clean with a BRUTAL right. You could actually hear the blow

Seeing Hogan & Vader trash talk was a great touch, I don't think I've seen Hogan do that before. Hulk's selling and mannerisms early on were top notch as well. I might just have to give some of their other matches another chance. I also wanted to add one of my most favorite Vader matches, from Clash 26 (or 27 maybe) when he wrestled Flair & Arn in a handicap match.

A forgotten classic His eye got all jacked up in that match too edit: .. not sure if I can post the picture on here or if it's against the rules, but if you google "vader bloody vader" you can see the cover of WWF Magazine with his eye from Final Four.
