What do you think was the worst case of hyperbole in regards to us the fans thinking a superstar was being "buried" or not given his fair shake but this theory was eventually proven incorrect.

Sting Loss against HHH.
The only stupid thing in that match was the handshake in the aftermath, but everything else was one of the most protected losses that I had ever seen in my life.
Now, all the fellatio that sting did to HHH 1 month ago is another story

CM Punk was supposedly in a constant state of bury, even when holding titles.

CM Punk was supposedly in a constant state of bury, even when holding titles. Even when cutting the sorts of vicious kayfabe-blurring promos that nobody else except Cena and HHH were allowed to cut.

CM Punk was supposedly in a constant state of bury, even when holding titles. Once again in people mind it's Main Event or bust & since he was the champ and wasn't actually "main-eventing" than that's where that comes from. Far from buried tho he was essentially around the title for damn near two years straight.

Pick any thread in WWE section in the last few years. Nothing but hyperbole.

CM Punk was supposedly in a constant state of bury, even when holding titles. Even when cutting the sorts of vicious kayfabe-blurring promos that nobody else except Cena and HHH were allowed to cut. Even when being the longest reigning WWE champion in 25 years. Yeah I'm going with this answer too.

CM Punk - holds title for over a year, beats Cena a number of times, high profile storylines with Brock, Cena and The Rock, made to look strong all the time. Given the type of creative control very few others get. Still the fans say "WWE are burying him!" after he gets beatdown or loses a match.
Saying that, I do think WWE should have pushed him ahead of Cena as the face of the brand ahead along with Bryan.

That Miz/R-Truth catch botch that people acted like Miz was committing murder or something. We also had a long ass thread were people were insulted babyface Miz stood up to Lesnar. Miz was a magnet for this type of shit.

Punk's big star making angle was definitely buried. No doubt about that. He was champion for a long time, but never THE guy. Cena was usually promoted as a bigger deal.

The CM Punk stuff seems to be the winner here. To a degree, most Reigns matches get this treatment be fans. Yeah he was overpushed, but to hit the roof if he defeats Strowman by countout is a bit too much.

He needs to be protected despite being greener than the prettyboy cool moveset Roman Reigns. Thankfully the Roman hate has subsided 60%.

HHH buries everyone, including Superstars. He's like 5-7 at WM.

A little exaggeration is okay from time to time. Some examples, while certainly a case of hyperbole, are by no means the worst. How meta.
