the WBC has to decided to strip Cotto of the WBC belt because he didn't pay his sanctioning fees. Since boxing orgs are corrupt, instead of recognizing Golokvin as full champ, the title is only on the line for Alvarez.

Since boxing orgs are corrupt, instead of recognizing Golokvin as full champ, the title is only on the line for Alvarez. When I read that I thought how ridiculous it was. This is what I say in regards to De La Hoya needing to get off his high horse in regards to boxing being better without Floyd because boxing the sport is back in control and is back setting the rules they want to. Nobody has the power of Floyd and unless GGG can rise up which we all think he can we going to see boxing try to scam the fighters in regards to titles and sanctions.

Apparently the WBC wanted 300K for the sanctioning fee plus 800K for a step aside fee for Golovkin
And they wonder why the sport is in trouble
Would love to see how much money they have lost on the PBC deal

According to Dan Rafael from ESPN. Cotto paid GGG 800k to step aside so he can fight Canelo. He later did not want to pay the 300k sanctioning fees on top of that and has been officialy stripped of the WBC middleweight title. However, if Canelo wins tonight he will become the WBC middlweight champion.

@bcampbellespn
Don't let Floyd's social media posts about massages fool you. He'll be watching this one tonight with a very careful eye regarding No. 50.
