Key Royals players who are 30 years old or younger: Eric Hosmer, Salvador Perez, Mike Moustakas, Alcides Escobar, Jarrod Dyson, Yordano Ventura, Kelvin Herrera, Greg Holland, Wade Davis.
This team could be built to last.

Ten years ago, the Royals lost 106 games. Three years ago, they finished their fourth consecutive season with 90 or more losses. It cannot be emphasized enough how much this fanbase deserves this championship. Only 106. So where is the Astros one? A team that has never won and was mocked and ridiculed for years? Or the Rangers? Or the Cubs when do they get their "Deserved" title?

Salvador Perez is your World Series MVP. Should have given it to Zack Greinke, without him they never would have been in this spot, much less won the Series.

Houston will get at least one in the near future, they've just got to sure up that bullpen.

They all have young and talented teams that made the playoffs seemingly a year ahead of schedule in their rebuild. I've said in the past that Astros versus Cubs in the late 2010s and 2020s could be what Yankees versus Braves was in the 1990s or Yankees versus Reds was in the 1970s.

It's crazy to think at this point The Yankees and Red Sox are in rebuilding years, but their division has gotten so good that it's hard to keep up, and I think it's awesome. Nothing like competition!

I would love to see a stat on KC's World Series hits/walks to runs to home run ratio. They only hit two home runs and only one left the field of play. Lots of hits though. And plenty of runs. Would love to see where that ratio stacks up in the history of World Series Champs.

That loss really, really hurt. That said, I'm really proud of this Mets team. They'll be back

Oh I understand that and a agree. Just, as a Red Sox fan you know what its like to say ____ Deserves it when you are at the front of the Drought line. I mean there are 11 fanbases that have not seen a title over 30 years, longer than the Royals. And 6 of those have never even had one. Thats all Im saying. lol

The Royals did not complete the most boring playoff run of all-time.
Rather, they completed one of the biggest narrative-defying playoff runs.
Great pitching beats great hitting.... yet they hit their way past a lot of good pitchers.
And they did it with a rotation that doesn't exactly evoke memories of Maddux/Smoltz/Glavine or Oakland's Big Three.
Think about all the pitchers in October- Tanaka, Keuchel, Price, Stroman, Lester, Arrieta, Cole, Lackey, Kerahaw, Greinke.
Yet it was Cueto/Volquez/Ventura that outlasted em all.

Terry Collins should be thrown down a well for his idiocy this series He really invoked his inner Grady Little the last couple of games. If not already mentioned, congratulations to the Royals and their fans on a World Series Championship. They were really on a mission this Fall and they took it to the Mets in fairly dominant fashion. Both KC and the Mets are going to be in the mix for a title for the next few years, the Mets especially. So I wouldn't be surprised if they crossed paths in another Series down the line.

That loss really, really hurt. That said, I'm really proud of this Mets team. They'll be back Matt Harvey was a monster until the 9th. I don't blame them for having him go out and finish the job. Much like the Astros, and Cubs, the Mets got a young team that's just getting started. Winning the division was the goal, so everything else was icing on the cake. I got a feeling they will be back sooner rather than later.

I was all for letting him go out there to start but he's over 100 pitches why are you having pitch to another batter from the stretch. Terry Collins terrible decisions this series gave KC 6-8 runs. If we give a benefit of the doubt that half were preventable they're still playing this series

The names don't particularly matter if they pitched well.

If we give a benefit of the doubt that half were preventable they're still playing this series From the looks of it, Collins wanted to pull Harvey but Harvey wanted to finish it. It would have been Harvey's last game of the year so he likely wanted to go out with a bang. I would have done the same thing if I was in Terry Collins' shoes.
