It's weird that they cut to that panel in the middle of the game. Also, where were Booker T and Corey Graves?

Royals have a great record with an ump behind the plate who was born in Missouri

Not sure I like intentionally walking the bases loaded with no one out.

Hosmer goes from the goat to the hero with a walk-off sac fly.

I feel less like the Royals won and more like they survived. Three more wins to go.

Pretty damn deflating to lose on the road in extras after having your best blow it in the critical moment.
Hopefully, the Mets can rebound tonight,

I am starting to get why the last two ALCS's, and last year's World Series were the lowest rated in decades. KC just made a world series win seem anti-climatic.
Their team is as exciting as their actual city (it's pretty boring IMO)

There was nothing boring about that game. I was on the edge of my seat all night and I'm a Yankee fan. Edit: Nice sig, BTW. Trolling, much?

Well, that's pretty much wrong. Yankees already have a 100+ million dollar outfielder in Ellsbury. With them not spending too much cash nowadays and them having somewhat of a plan to get a few of those young outfielders up to the Bronx soon, they won't be throwing out any cash toward Gordon or anyone else for that matter. That may be true, but the point that I was making was that it won't be with KC.

Just finished. It's morning, the start of a new day, and I haven't slept. Absolutely stunning game. That's World Series dramatics at its best. At its best. Tremendous game. Tremendous. Everything you could ask for. Stories galore. Well-played. Bullpen. Starters. Big hits. Smart baseball and small ball. Base running. You had everything.
Had a concert last night. Wrecks all over the place. Didn't get in until 3:00am after sitting still on an interstate for well over two hours. That marathon of a game on DVR once I finally got home, and somehow I managed to have no one tell me a thing, so it was like watching it live and unfold before my very eyes. What a game!

*yawn* This'll be a long drawn out 4 game sweep for the Royals. Can't they just skip this? It's a boring formality Unfortunately for you, they're kind of required to play out the games. But feel free to turn the channel and get rid of the attitude. I did at 11:00pm Apparently the game dragged on for much longer and shock of all shocks, The teama ll the local radio stations said we're likely winning in either 4 or 5 won. On the plus side Basketball has officially started. If I we're KC I'd chuck game 4 and win it at home, But I can understand wanting to just get it over with.

The only negative I can say about Game 1 is that it set the drama level way too high for the other games. The others need like, a double no-hitter thru 6 or a massive run deficit coming and going to equal the excitement.

This was as evenly matched as you'll ever see. It'll be a long series.

I'm not going to lie, I like the Mets, but couldn't watch more than 5 minutes of the game last night. The Royals hitting singles until the cows come home is incredibly boring to watch. They are a very good team and deserve to be there but when your team is not in the Series then the Royals are probably the last team that will attract fans to watch the games. I know people are going to say ratings don't matter and all that, which is fine, but I want to see the game gain popularity, and it sure as hell won't do that if the Royals become some sort of dynasty in the AL. Small ball, moving runners over, going from 1st to 3rd on singles, etc, while good fundamental baseball, is not going to draw people in.
I said Royals in 5 before the series and I'm sticking to it. They make so much contact that they are a bad matchup for the Mets. I just wish the Royals had a marketable star or played a more watchable style of baseball. Other than that they are a very good team.
