Microsoft with a $ is the first one I thought of... it wasn't edgey 20 years ago and it only makes you look like an idiot that has nothing intelligent to say now. Pretty sure I had an aneurysm when I found out people were legit using "Ikki Bellugh" in referral to, surprisingly enough, Nikki Bella. Like, you could tell they were like "YES, SO CLEVER", but it was just the worst. This and Smelly Kelly too... yeah, that was started by Laycool but the point was they were vapid idiots... I know a few fans started using it unironically.

That and someone using "Di$ney" unironically is a clear sign you're probably a little too pretentious. But I'll admit I have used "CM Sucks" non jokingly before. -__-

That's The Rock's fault. He said it first.

I'm guilty of this.
I very immaturely refer to one of my rival sports teams as Wankfield instead of Wakefield. It's not big, it's not clever and it doesn't even work. But I cant stop doing it

I'm guilty of doing this with sports teams I dislike. But then, sports fandom in general can be pretty childish so I think being dumb and immature with corny names for rival teams is part of the fun, be it Red Sux, or the Deadskins, or the Rags. And while I don't really dislike the Islanders, I got a lot of amusement out of the "Fishsticks" derogatory nickname after the Islanders' Gorton's Fisherman-esque logo from the 90's.
I think the worst one is "Micro$oft" or variations thereof. It's such a lazy insult because it's most often used by fanboys and fangirls with a loyalty to similarly super-rich billion dollar corporations.

I don't think it's pretentious to not be down with the mouse. Now, I've never used Di$ney, but I have realistically felt the sentiment without feeling "edgy" for going against the grain. Hardly pretentious in my humble opinion. CM Sucks though, yikes. Though I once used Y2Cheap, so I'm in the same neighborhood of embarrassment, haha.

I don't think he was saying you had to get fully behind Disney. But using a Dollar sign instead of an S is stupid especially because the connotation that a business is founded on making money is a stupid point of contention.

The "clever" rename I'm most sick of is calling the fast food place Jack in the Box "Jack in the Crack". Especially since everyone who said it couldn't do so without sneering at how witty they were.

On that note, have we stopped referring to every scandal as "-gate" yet?

Good thing she's Kesha with a proper S, cause she's all growed up now! Pierce and Dismantle? Someone else reads old alt.tv.game-shows posts and the like? ?? Kesha, now that you are all grown up that makes you a D-I-N-O-S-A, you are a dinosaur.

There's some guy on 411mania who calls Hell in a Cell, 'Heck on a Deck.'
Like, what does that even mean?

That's The Rock's fault. He said it first. Not true. Herb Kunze of RSPW started saying it months before. And me and my friend have a better CM Punk soundalike insult ("Punk" is replaced by a word starting with "C")

I don't know how people view "XBone" for the Xbox One. I know on some Xbox communities you get looked down on as a "hater" for calling it that, but I personally quite enjoy my One, and call it the XBone all the time. I just like the name.

Not sure if it's been said, but Ticketbastard. Though, I think it's appropriate.

To me it's no different than calling the Playstation 4 "PS4." It's just shorthand.
