Some films I'd love to see: 2001: A Space Travesty: One of Leslie Nielsen's worst films. Haven't seen the whole thing but the little I saw was AWFUl.
The Pebble and the Penguin: One of Don Bluths worst films. Tim Curry is his usual awesome self but man was this film a letdown.
George of the Jungle: People seem to like this because of the "Bad guy falls in poop" clip that has been posted all around. The whole film itself though...is terrible.

The trick, though, is comedy is harder to riff than things that are to be taken seriously.

So, wishlist of movies you'd like to see on the proposed new MST3K? Here's mine: The Dungeonmaster Rock n Roll Nightmare Any animated movie (my choices would be American Rabbit, one of the animated titanic films, and/or warriors of the wind) Sleepaway Camp 2 (would make no sense without showing the first one true, but its got Bruce Springsteen's sister Pamela and yet ANOTHER member of the Estevez Family) Gymkata Fist of Fear, Touch of Death Grizzly Ghoulies (they already did one gremlins ripoff, might as well show this one too) Forest Warrior Four words: ANYTHING BY THE ASYLUM. I recall one of the writers (maybe even Joel) saying that if the show was done nowadays they wouldnt do the Sharknado movies as those movies are already intentionally bad (plus, those movies are essentially comedies, so it would be another Catalina Caper situation). That said, the other Asylum ripoff films would be perfect riff fodder.

Yeah, it's hard to make fun of something that's trying to be funny and failing than something trying to be serious and failing.

Yeah, it's hard to make fun of something that's trying to be funny and failing than something trying to be serious and failing. Patton Oswalt asked why they didn't riff comedies at the SDCC panel and that was the answer that was given. Someone said that they attempted to write riffs for comedies but had to abandon it because every joke was just them pointing out that a joke in the film had bombed.

Felicia Day officially named as new Mad. She's playing Dr.Foresters daughter.

the wording of the press release makes it sound like it's not a done deal.

Felicia Day officially named as new Mad. She's playing Dr.Foresters daughter. But will she be hotter than Pearl was? ?

Yeah, it's hard to make fun of something that's trying to be funny and failing than something trying to be serious and failing. To that end, could I nominate the Seltzer/Friedberg "legacy"? Oh, and unrelated, but despite what Pearl promised, MORE GUMBY SHORTS!!!!

the wording of the press release makes it sound like it's not a done deal. The length of it is the uncertain part. The $2mil point which they reached in under 2 days assures them funding for 3 episodes. $4mil gets them a total of 6; they're at almost $3.5mil now. I think the total episode count Joel's going for is 10.

I dont think Disney would be willing to license their films for the sole purpose of being riffed (of course, i just suggested a film thats owned by Studio Ghibli in Warriors of the Wind, with an audio track thats owned by 20th Century Fox (since New World, now owned by fox, did the dub), so i guess we're just having fun with suggestions here)

Man, the internet freaked out at a Black Storm Trooper, a Black Tom Servo might kill it.
