When could this have possibly been taken? Its obviously not during The Main Event where he won the title from Hogan. Andre didn't have those wild sideburns then, plus it looks to be an empty arena, and on top of that Market Square Arena didn't have orange seats. It looks to have been taken in late 88, or early 89. Does anyone have any idea about this?

And even at that show he STILL drew better than TNA.

I'm also thinking it was during those series of matches with Savage where he would take the WWF title after the match and proclaim himself the champion.

Yeah, just by his raised hand and look on his face it appears to be he thought he won the title (via countout or dq) and expected the announcer to proclaim him new champ. Probably the same thing happened with the Piper HW/IC title photo that gets questioned every few years.

Before the days of the Internet, that pic confused the hell out of me when I saw it in a magazine as I was piecing together wrestling history.

I can't stop staring at Andre the Giant's nipple. Now you can't either. You're welcome.

Speaking of which, what ever happened to that giant custom made belt they had for andre at WM3? It was purchased by Judy Bagwell.

What the hell was Jacques The Behemoth doing wrestling at a TNA house show?

Speaking of strange pics. This must have been when Savage was IC champ.

It probably was in April or May 1988 when he was already WWF Champ. I bet he probably had a few house shows left with Honky, who was still IC champ.

Speaking of strange pics. This must have been when Savage was IC champ. It's from a pre WM5 House show match against Warrior.
