Watch a game without access to constant instant replays and you have football. I went to see Notre Dame play Air Force in a relatively meaningless game. No video board to show replays. So frickin' boring to watch a lot of guys execute a two-second draw play, then stand around forever to set up the next. live football games are the worst. 4 second play, stand around for a while, run another 4 second play, and Jah help everyone if there's a penalty or review.

I concur, which is weird because I like live baseball. But live football is the worst.

The NBA is an insanely high level of basketball, with no other league in the world even approaching its talent level, but yeah, it's hard for me to get into it due to how quickly a team can go from bottom to tops and back down again. That is quite the opposite of how it usually happens in the NBA. Michael Jordan and The Bulls for example went from team who squaeks into the playoffs ,team who loses in the 2nd round, team who loses twice in conf finals to Pistons.Team finally overcomes Pistons and then dominates sport in 90s. Detroit Piston,Golden State Warriors,Chicago Bulls,Dallas Mavericks all had slow builds to the title. San Antonio Spurs were a consistently good team in the 90s,star player Robinson gets injured early in the year so they have 1 bad season then afterwards draft Duncan and have had sustained greatness ever since. The Allen,KG,Pierce superteam Celtics that came together and won a title year won and Bosh,LBJ,Wade Heat team that quickly came together then left just as quickly is actually the anamoly. With the Heat, remember that not only did Lebron leave, Bosh had a life-threatening injury. Losing two superstar players is going to be hard in any sport, but especially a sport where that's 40% of your starting 5. I would also point to the Thunder last year. They're a top team, but lost their two biggest players for most of the season and just missed the playoffs (and would have made it had they been in the East).

First, I'm going to defend golf. I can see where people are coming from, but for example, when it's Sunday, the last few pairings are out, the leader is out, and there's maybe 2 or 3 shots between 6th and 1st? That's damn thrilling, cause one false move could cost the leader 4 days worth of great play.
Now, baseball. f*** baseball. It is the most boring sport ever, and that includes tennis. I would genuinely get more excitement from watching paint dry.

I don't get the general fascination with college sports. Unless it's your school/alma mater, I don't get how people get so fanatical about rooting for a school they have no connection to.

And I like it and watch it all the time. But at it's core, it really should have no casual fans. But tennis, I think of it like an exciting version of soccer. I'm not a fan of soccer, but if those soccer fans love cardio then tennis is every bit as challenging. A guy like Djokovic is every bit as quick in hour 4 or 5 as he is in hour 1. And the rallies are genuinely exciting. Pretty much any Nadal/Federer/Djokovic/Wawrinka, etc match-up is going to feature only great cardio, hand-eye coordination, great competitiveness, shot-making, great rallies, etc. And I get that the American media hates it because it's not American-centric right now, but top level tennis is both exciting and a great show of athleticism.

I love watching the NFL and College Football, but I've got to agree that it's becoming tough to watch a live game.
This year I've been watching most games on the NFL's Gamepass subscription service. Seriously, it's a joy to be able to watch games in just over an hour by skipping through the endless stoppages due to change of possessions, scores, timeouts and time in between plays
