This company sabotaging the overness of their own characters is so mind boggling. "Millionaire who should be a billionaire" indeed. I was gonna write this EXACT SAME SENTENCE. Dammit Vince...

I miss the Bad News that was on the JBL and Cole show.

Period between Corre and Bad News can actually be split into two more Barrett's, those being "Barruh Bayrage" Barrett (fall 2011-early 2012) and street brawler Barrett (fall 2012-summer 2013).
Barrett Barrage Barrett is my favorite as I felt it was the best all around of Barrett's various incarnations as he was good in the ring (unlike Nexus Barrett), was pushed strong (unlike street brawler Barrett or King Barrett where his only purpose was/is just to lose many wrestling matches), and was presented as being a serious and dangerous threat (unlike Bad News Barrett which was a little too on the goofy side for me even though it was probably his most over gimmick).

Yup Barrett Barrage appeared to be a legit threat before the Corre stuff. Loved the match against Bryan at Summerslam 2011.

BNB wad great. Unfortunately, Wade made the mistake of getting over so of course had it taken away. I expect Breeze to soon lose the selfie stick and tassels for the same reason. "No one's going to take you seriously with all that nonsense! Here, put on these black trunks."

Yeah I liked that match a lot too, just a good hard hitting battle of attrition type match. He also was booked strong during his feud with Orton back when Orton was booked at almost Cena level strong, hardly ever losing and completely owning Punk and Christian in lopsided feuds in which neither ever got one over on him. However Barrett pinned him on Smackdown, pinned him again to give his team the win at Survivor Series, and put him out of action for a month or so after throwing him down a flight of stairs. Orton did beat him in a table match, eliminated him at the Royal Rumble, and won the blowoff match on Smackdown but still going pretty much 50/50 in a feud with the #2 face in the company was a pretty big boost for Barrett and seemed like the beginning of him maybe becoming a main eventer. However he had to hit the sidelines for 7 or 8 months after getting hurt in that battle royal, and as a result lost all of his momentum and has never been able to fully get it back.

I liked when he was bringing a little decorum into wrestling.

Initial leader of Nexus was very interesting. I was curious where they were going when they booked this guy who sacrificed his title match for his brothers.
So naturally, WWE f***s it up within just a few weeks and proceeds to make him as bland and paint by numbers as possible.
Bad News Barrett to me was never THAT good...or at least as good as they could book him. A lot of the stuff he said was almost as inoffensive as Jerry Lawler's insult was on him. A lot of potential, but a lot of disappointment.

I voted Nexus leader Barret. BNB is a really REALLY close second to me, but damn did he fascinate me with a legit top-tier heel routine so damned early in his run. It all stemmed from him being able to sell the package of the Nexus as a real threat and him as the force behind it all. It was just so rare and I personally was beyond impressed with how he took all that was at hand and helped spin it into gold.

I would give up my WWE watching drought if he, under some circumstance or other, was to read the shipping forecast to a live crowd surrounded by the Divas in pyjamas.

If I was Wade I'd tell Vince to piss off an continue to play the Bad News character. Even if it resulted in me being fired for daring to get over the crowd would revolt like they did when Matt Hardy was fired and it'd make me a bigger draw elsewhere.
I'm really angry they sabotaged his career.
