Well the Baseball Hall of Fame has just announced it's ballot for this year. And for the last couple of years we held our own ballot and it's time to do it again.
Like before the rules are the same as the rules for the BBWAA. You can vote for up to 10 of the players listed here. Any player who gets 75% of the vote gets in. If for some reason you don't think any of the players are worthy then there is a blank ballot option but if you click it you can't vote for anybody else.
Voting will close and the winners will be announced on Jan 5, 2016 one day before the Hall of Fame announces it's results.
For all the grief we give the BBWAA we've been even tougher, only voting two in in each of the first two years. Let's see how we do this time.

I am not going thru all of my picks, but I did choose Mark McGuire and Sammy Sosa.
I know they won't get in, but I would vote them in just for the 1998 Home Run Chase. That brought back a bunch of viewers after the whole 1994 strike debacle.

Jeff Bagwell Barry Bonds Roger Clemens Ken Griffey Jr Edgar Martinez Mike Mussina Mike Piazza Tim Raines Curt Schilling Alan Trammell
I can also add arguments for Larry Walker, Jeff Kent and Mark McGwire. I do believe last year the ballot here was even worse than the MLB version, so hopes for better this time I guess.

I voted Bagwell, Bonds, Clemens, Griffey Jr, Hoffman, McGwire, Piazza, Raines, Sosa, and Trammell. Would also love for Edmonds to get serious consideration but that's just my Cardinal bias, I know he doesn't have the #'s.

In a few days or weeks, I'll write my annual wordy, long-winded post about who I selected and why, but in the interim, I'll say that I can't wait until some of the actual ballots go public and SO MANY people get heated because David Eckstein got like 18 votes.

Fred McGriff.
Dude was a criminally underrated power hitter due to him getting passed by via the juicers McGuire, Sosa, Bonds, etc.
First player in MLB history to lead both leagues in home runs, multiple time All Star, All Star game MVP, multi time Silver Slugger winner.
I know I'm a little bias because I'm a Braves fan and McGriff was my favorite player growing up, but if that manufactured homer run surge in the late 90s didn't happen, we'd probably see more consideration for McGriff.

This is tough, as I would probably vote for at least 14 of these guys, including Bonds and Clemens. But on a full ballot, I'd have to pass on the two most controversial names for now.
Bagwell Griffey Hoffman Kent E. Martinez Mussina Piazza Raines Schilling Trammell

Short ballot this year:
Raines should have been voted in years ago. Griffey should be a lock. Lee Smith was a 2-3 inning closer, and still had the record for years until this save rule got out of hand. Put Bonds and Clemens in. Larry Walker deserves at least 15%.
If Harold Baines didn't get in, neither does Edgar. Sorry.

They are absolutely nothing alike.
