Cause that weird Madison Rayne Training montage of her dressing up like a ninja to prepare for Gail Kim (and the the fact that Women are in the World Heavyweight title tournament and we get Kong vs. Young next week) just brings back days of Velocity/heat/NXT where the talent and camera guys just went into full "let's just Amuse ourselves" mode.

If you aren't doing something for the money, and you aren't doing it because there's a future in it, you do it for the grins. I presume that most of these non-Impact Zone promos are just being filmed on the cheap in local gyms anyway, since some of them look like they're Skype recordings. If so, good for them - when WCW Worldwide hit that level in the UK reedits, it made that show a must watch for me, as they'd clearly just do one take of the revoicing, and let Scott Hudson say whatever he damn well pleased.

Yeah in nxt they started doing whatever they wanted because nobody was paying any attention. Same here, that ninja training vignette was so embarrassing.

I haven't watched in a long while, but I feel like they reached that level when they let Matt Hardy win the TNA Heavyweight Championship, only have him drop it when they realized they hadn't filmed any episodes with him as champ.

Y'all are making me feel like I need to watch some recent TNA. If you do, feel free to join us in the Impact threads. The thread is guaranteed to be more entertaining than Impact.

NXT Redemption was basically WWE writers letting the inmates run the asylum. In TNA, they are actually trying which makes it even more humorous.

Until chloroform is used, nope. In TNA, the chloroform user would be a face.

It's funny that Derrick Bateman/EC3 is at the helm of both, haha.

Until chloroform is used, nope. In TNA, the chloroform user would be a face. 'Matt Hardy has brought out the chloroform and used it on the face of EC3, Pope! What a smart move by Matt Hardy! Now he's giving him a piledriver on the concrete while EC3 is unconscious! What a wise move! EC3 is bleeding everywhere, and he can't defend himself, but let's not focus on that and lets focus on how smart Matt Hardy is being in this match! Wow!' 'Josh, look, EC3 is coming to!' 'EC3 with the low-blow and roll-up - what an asshole this EC3 is! Matt was cheated out of the victory!'

NXT Redemption was like junk food. If I fancied a bit of wrestling to waste some time I would watch it otherwise I'd avoid it like the plague.

Tyrus basically confirmed this in an interview I listened to last night.
He said something along the lines of "When I went to TNA they asked me what I wanted to do. I said I'll do whatever you want me to do and then they said no, what do you want to do?"
Compared to every other company on earth who hires someone with a job or character in mind for them. The logic is astounding. Can anyone else imagine going into their workplace and being asked what job they'd like to do?
