Could it be that hard for TNA to advertise a House Show? I mean all jokes aside they do have some big name talent that people would likely pay to see and I imagine radio stations and local news programs would probably jump at the opportunity to have an international wrestling star such as Kurt Angle on their program and plug their show. TNA has the money for billboards and a street team in these smaller areas as well. None of these ideas are that costly and it'd get TNA a lot of exposure. Street Team members weren't being paid directly; they offered you a free ticket to the show if you printed and distributed flyers. I'm surprised TNA actually had street team members. My point was why haven't they been doing this in the past? Two people to hand out flyers in public places are likely going to cost you 15-20 dollars an hour each and it's about a 3-4 hour job. Have them do it three times a week in the lead up to the event and that's 360 dollars a week. Throw in 100-150 extra for printing the materials and that is only 460-510 to have a flyer in the hands of people attending college/sporting events/whatever I assume TNA has money for such things in their House Show advertising budget and I think in recent times they would have increased attendance a little more if they had dropped a couple thousand into adverting the House Show. Could it be that hard for TNA to advertise a House Show? TNA has the money for billboards and a street team in these smaller areas as well. None of these ideas are that costly and it'd get TNA a lot of exposure. Its not that easy for TNA. First, they have to be booking house shows in the first place and in general, the best advertising for house shows is via a television program since they can use their air for whatever they want. Secondly, when they do have house shows rarely do their biggest names even go on the tour unless its a big deal tour. You're not going to see Kurt Angle wrestle at the Biloxi Civic Center. To be a viable touring brand thats going to at least get some sort of gate, you have to be a viable brand in the first place. TNA is not that right now. They're fledgling with a TV deal about to end with a lack of starpower who largely control how they're used/schedule wise. Even when they were having regular house show tours they were only drawing a pittance. They're not in the position to be a viable touring brand at the moment. I completely agree that TV is needed I was talking about local advertising and cheap options. Of course TNA should be advertising on TV and I'd be showing footage of how much fun everyone is having at the TNA House Shows. Have Jeremy Borash interview the fans before the event talking about how excited they are, who they want to see etc. Show one of these every time a House Show occurs with a little recap and I think you add a little importance to the House Shows and you pretty much are advertising future events. The big names not appearing is completely TNA's fault. They couldn't have Kurt Angle wrestle a six man tag where he does a minute or two in ring in the smaller towns? They can't have him appear at the event to do the end of show in ring pictures and a pre show autograph signing? He could even cut a promo or guest ref if they're that desperate to not have him wrestle. I don't buy that it's impossible for TNA to draw. When you see companies such as House Of Hardcore or NWA Smoky Mountain drawing 1000+ without the help of television and in NWA Smoky Mountain's case not even a recognisable national star it's hard to say that TNA couldn't draw. TNA could draw they just need to allocate more resources to House Shows instead of lazily throwing up a couple posters and putting it on their website.

Goldberg hasn't wrestled in over 10 years I think, and he's about 50 years old now.

TNA can't afford him. But Panda do. Depends how much daddy wants to support ditzy.
Strange though that Goldberg would talk about this openly. If he wanted to go there, he would keep it a secret, you would think.

No company wants Goldberg. Not even TNA. Goldberg's appeal is watching him just wreck people. That's not a dude you bring in To have a main event feud with the champion. That's a guy you bring in to interrupt a heel jobber promo and squash them for lolz. And Goldberg's price tag (or at least what he thinks he's worth) is too high just for that.

Does anyone know what happened to Goldberg's podcast? I'm guessing it was at least cancelled, since it stopped airing in May, but the fact PodcastOne have purged the back catalog gives it a slightly suspect air.

This is like me calling a girl I barely knew to ask her out in summer between 7th and 8th grade. I agonized over this for weeks, then summoned up my nerve and called her. And she was nice about it, like "I don't feel like going out with anyone". Looking back it's like "of course not".
TNA's growing up, is what I'm saying. It's all part of this hormonal, confusing time.

Goldberg looks old as f*** now. The years are finally starting to show on him, he hasn't aged as well as SCSA for example. So if you see him in a ring it's really going to be apparent, especially for most wrestling fans.
