Many of the things they are saying in that press are the same thing they said when they signed with DA. Much like with Spike, expect TNA to go out and say that DA never appreciated them that they were mistreated during their time on there. Both did far more for them than TNA's deserved.

So they're on the TV Guide Channel basically, the channel that people watch just to check what's coming on next...but no one watches it anymore because everyone has guides with their cable or satelitte so they don't need to turn to that channel just so see what's coming on later. Also they're paying to be on this channel.
This is surely a good idea, guys.

When I read this, I thought to myself, "The UK Channel that runs Power Rangers?!"

Mondays: Raw Tuesdays: Impact Wednesdays: Lucha Underground/NXT Thursdays: Smackdown Fridays: NJPW Saturday/Sunday: ROH (depending on location)
Not a bad time to be addicted and needing a fix.

So how long until TNA claims that Paragon Pro Wrestling was out to sabotage them too?

It's just plain shows and movies; they made that change a couple years ago in an attempt to get ratings. There's a separate TV Guide channel WITH the grid but more people get PopTV by my understanding.

"Everyone has guides with their cable or satellite now" is the reason that the channel rebranded to Pop in the first place, is it not? I'd like to be positive and think that they can make this work. The fact that they're paying to be on that channel means they can produce Impact the way that they want. Being on Spike and even DA meant they had to produce Impact to a certain standard which probably cost more money than a timeslot on that channel. If they wanted to, they could tape Impact in an Armory with a skeleton crew and repurpose the money saved on production costs towards other things like actually paying the talent. Imo, if they were smart with it (all Ditzy snark aside), they'd save money in the long run. Any diehard TNA fans who have this channel probably will watch.

Dude, they barely got money to pay the staff and wrestlers. How do you think they going to do that and pay for Impact getting produced? Spike and DA was paying for that. TNA is paying for all this on their own dime in hopes of re-cooping the money from ad sells.

wonder if FAN can buy ad time on iMPACT...... This is the best idea ever... No, that was when some of us were gonna buy the pizza oven from IWA-MS and it grew into us wanting to buy the entire company. Maybe we can try something like that still. Not necessarily meaning TNA, but still.

Also since TNA see themselves as almost on WWE's level and the fact that they want to run a shows in NY again. they most likely ARE producing the show the way they want at this point.... edit: also there are shots of the channel in this thread that show the guide still exists on some versions of POP.

And they still won't pay talent. If anything, they are going to ask people to take even bigger pay cuts.

Josh's pillow fort and Bram's weekly multi-year deals and their ridiculous attempts at courting the newest WWE alumni on the market came from somewhere. Plus they had the money to buy out Jarrett's piece of the pie for no good reason If Spike and DA were paying for their production, there wouldn't have been issues with the production crew getting their paychecks. I'm just saying that without Spike or DA they can actually start cutting frivolous costs and repurpose the funds that they DO have.

Frankly If I was Janice I'd kick her out with nothing but the clothes on her back, because we all know Bob's not going to do anything to upset his Princess. Kick her out of the company and cut her off from everything. Tell her she's not getting a free ride anymore and if she wants something go get a job and work for it and live in a apartment surviving off of food stamps like she has made people in TNA do before. She better hope nothing bad happens to Bob because she going to wind up like Tori Spelling after her dad died. I'm not too heavy on my pop culture knowledge these days, what happened to Tor Spelling after her father died?

I just watched Paragon last week and if that is what TNA is going to be like, then just wow. They had something like four or five rows of people with a lady in the front texting during a good chunk of it.

I'm not too heavy on my pop culture knowledge these days, what happened to Tor Spelling after her father died? Her mom, Candy, basically disowned her and took away her access to the Spelling fortune due to inheriting most of the money and assets from Aaron's death.
