More in the vein of a big upset. Kalisto stunned Ryback long enough to pin him but not long enough to take all of the fight out of him. As long you can keep them down for three seconds without cheating, it all counts. It doesn't need to be proven without a shadow of a doubt that X is definitively better than Y... It just needs to be shown that on any given day, X can beat Y. That is good unpredictability. Sure, X can beat Y, but can X beat Z?!!!!

I never paid much attention to when guys kick out of 3. He still won clean...
it is not like Ryback shoved him out of the ring when he kicked out,and proceed to destroy kalisto

Yes, I'm sure Ryback did this by himself without any advice from the road agents who tell them basically every spot they have to do.

What a minute. Christy Hemme said about a decade ago that her ass was hungry and proceed to eat a pie with it. A few years later, Hemme is fired and Ryan Reeves made his WWE debut as part of Tough Enough. Ryback is constantly hungry and wants to eat. It's all so clear now. Ryback really is Christy Hemme's ass. I once made a thread of who is hungrier? Christy's ass or Ryback. Now I realize I was a f***ing idiot because they are the same person. Rybacks head and her ass have to have the same level of smoothness to them

I like it, they should do it more often. It's a good way of showing someone barely scrape by with a victory.

I agree because Kalisto used the same move earlier and barely got a 2-count.

Yeah that's what I'm thinkin, he may have been told to kick out right after the 3. It could've been some Ryback ego shit, who knows? But until I hear something else about it, it's a non-story to me.

All these years, Ryback's laid down for people with no hassle. Hell, until recently, his career was defined by being the meathead sacrificial lamb.
Now he chooses to try to protect his spot? I DON'T BELIEVE YOU.

I don't buy Kalisto doing THAT move on Ryback being some kind of knocked out for hours deal.

As said before, the regular Salida del Sol didn't keep Ryback down for 3 earlier, so the top rope version barely keeping him down till 3 makes sense even in the match context.
It was actually a good way to elevate Kalisto while still making The Big Guy look strong.

This is a guy that lost to Miz kicking him in the knee, there is no ego there.

If wrestling was real that kind of thing would happen way more often.

I will never ever understand the WWE's logic that large people are also resilient.

Oh dear, posts like this are mind boggling. Obviously he was booked to to do that and perfectly fit the upset nature of the match.
Ever see Kane and Taker at WM14? Kane did the exact same thing after a third tombstone, its just to keep the defeated guy looking strong and make it look like the winner barely scraped the win. It makes sense.

I thought it was a really nice touch. Pulled off a big upset win and added to that elusive feeling of unpredictability WWE matches tend to lack. It'd be weird to me if it kept Ryback flat on his back for any longer than that, honestly. "Argh, my biggest weakness, men the size of third graders falling on me!" Yeah. I liked it. Great added drama to the ending. Ryback is terrible, yes. But that added to the storytelling and aftermath. It wasn't vigilante. It was needed. Standard wrestling playbook material. It was as good as it could have been. No problem whatsoever with it. In fact, it's one of few things I see Ryback doing effectively for me as a needy audience member. It sold the moment.
