-Brett Farve - Easy pick. Multiple MVPs, was/is the the All Time leader in yards, TDs, and completions. Probably the biggest though is consecutive games streak.
-Orlando Pace - One of the greatest linemen of all time and made the Greatest Show on Turf possible.
-Kurt Warner - One of 3 QBs to start the Super Bowl for 2 different teams. League MVP 3 times, Super Bowl MVP.
-Terrell Owens - As we're talking about on the field, he has to be in. An absolute great but will be punished for the off the field antics.
-Tony Dungy - Turned the league joke Bucs into a contender and built the team that Gruden took to the Super Bowl. Then turned to Indy, rebuilt them and won the Super Bowl.
-Eddie DeBartolo, Jr. - Created one of the model franchises that went on to fame and multiple Super Bowl wins.
-Ken Stabler - MVP, Super Bowl Champ, Multiple Pro Bowls, and a part of the some of the greatest plays ever.

Don Coryell: One of the true game-changers in modern professional football. The NFL would not be where it is today - for better or worse, depending on how you view the way the passing game has taken over the league - without the "Air Coryell" offensive philosophy. No, he never won a Super Bowl and his teams went 3-6 in the postseason, but without his system in place, we're still looking at two receivers, a tight end, a fullback, and a halfback clogging up the middle for three yards and a cloud of dust and teams slogging out 13-10 victories. Coryell's scheme transcended the sport and made a million-dollar product a billion-dollar one.

Brett Favre: Sure, his "will I or won't I" retirement schtick got old quick and proceeded to get even older when he continued to do it over the course of four years, but it's hard to argue Favre's place in NFL history. He was a three-time MVP, retired with a slew of records including most touchdown passes, passing yards, completions, and wins. And as much grief as we gave him for legging out that consecutive starts record when he should have hung up his cleats earlier than he did, the guy was the league's perennial iron man, starting nearly 300 consecutive games.

Jimmy Johnson: He gets the nod more for his talent evaluation than his coaching acumen. He gambled in trading Herschel Walker to the Vikings and reaped the benefits when he built a three-time Super Bowl championship team with the draft picks he received in exchange. If Jerry Jones could have left well enough alone and if Johnson stays through the mid-90s, Dallas probably wins four or five Super Bowls in the 1990s.

Ty Law: One of the best shutdown cornerbacks of his era, he was truly an island of a cornerback. But I think I'd nominate him because he was so impossibly good at his job, particularly shutting down Marvin Harrison, that the league had to change the rules because of him. When the league has to go into the rulebook and adjust it because you're too good, it says more than enough about your Hall of Fame candidacy. Also, he was arguably the most important defensive player on one of the league's great dynasties, a team that was built on defense.

Terrell Owens: It was a toss-up between Owens and Isaac Bruce for my fifth and final nominee, but Owens gets the nod for doing more in fewer seasons. We easily forget how good Owens was because of his off-field antics and diva personality, but the guy was transcendent. 1,078 catches, 15,934 yards, and an eye-popping 153 touchdowns in essentially 14 full seasons. Hell, even his final seasons in Buffalo and Cincinnati were better than I recall: 127 catches, 1,703 yards, and 14 touchdowns. He also gutted out one of the most impressive single-game performances when he nearly carried the Eagles to a win in Super Bowl XXXIX with nine receptions and 122 yards despite fracturing his fibula about a month prior.

Edward DeBartolo, Jr.: When he bought the San Francisco 49ers in 1977, they were one of the laughingstocks of the league, a franchise that had advanced to the playoffs only four times in 28 seasons. By the end of the 1980s, they had won four Super Bowls and were the model franchise in the NFL. By the end of his 23-year tenure as owner, the 49ers had five Lombardi Trophies and advanced to the postseason 16 times.
