I remember Hogan was praising the hell out of Umaga for years and before Umaga passed away he was part of that Hulkamania tour. It's safe to say he was TNA bound and I'm wondering how would he do, would he have a similar gimmicks, something new and would it work?
I just have a feeling he would be talked about as one of the few bright spots in that era or still today for Umaga might of been of the most underrated wrestlers ever who never ever unlocked his full potential

He did wrestle in TNA. He wrestled by the name of Ekmo in a tag team with Sonny Siaki if I remember correctly in the early days of the promotion.

somehow he would cut a shoot promo on the WWE, possibly with drums and subtitles.

Probably would have had matches with Hardy, RVD, AJ, Angle, Abyss, Bully Ray, D-Von. Don't think he would have made much difference there.

If he did now I'm sure TNA would finally make it back to that 1.1 rating.

He would have been brought in with a lot of fanfare, and then he would have been another geek on the roster within a month with their booking. Just like everyone else.

Resurrections = Ratings! It would make finding Bigfoot as important as an Orton vs Sheamus match. Dixie would finally one-up Destination America.

He'd have still died, probably. He had serious personal demons it seems like, and TNA has a very lax environment when it comes to substance use, with both Jimmy Rave and Goldust being pretty stoned their whole time there, I am pretty sure, and them seemingly ignoring Jeff Hardy's issues until they were humiliated into admitting just maybe he had a problem.

Nation of Violence Samoa Joe aka Samoan Penis Face Joe is what Umaga in TNA would had been. That or how Rikishi behaved during his quick run.

He'd destroy everyone for a few months then tap out to Angle at a big PPV in a title match, then he'd wind up in an odd couple tag team for a brief run before jobbing loads and eventually going into rehab when he's sick of the whole thing and looking to get back into WWEs good graces (family connections means a rehiring is likely if he gets clean).

He would have done the same thing every other big name did for the company: nothing.
Seriously, TNA is proof that having the best roster in wrestling (which they did for a very long time in my opinion) doesn't mean shit if your booking and advertising sucks.

He was still in his 3 Minute Warning type of attire at this point right? I do remember seeing a picture of him in TNA wearing those baggy style pants and what not like he did when he teamed with Rosey.

Indeed he was working in those baggy pants. To my knowledge, he worked a few dates only though.

Seriously, TNA is proof that having the best roster in wrestling (which they did for a very long time in my opinion) doesn't mean shit if your booking and advertising sucks. Probably the only few times I can think of a big name doing them much good would be Christian, Kurt Angle (though it did lead to issues when they relied on him too much in my opinion and fed guy after guy to him), Sting (with the same issues as Kurt) and to an extent Jeff Hardy when he wasn't f***ing up. Still, they always ended up back where they started after the initial buzz, and a lot of guys who should have probably been a boon, like RVD, didn't ultimately end up meaning much at all, with mindshare so piss-poor, people would ask RVD why he stopped wrestling while he was still in TNA. Even his own fans, who would presumably have watched him if they even knew it existed, had no idea he worked there. That's how shit TNA's presence sometimes is.
