I have been watching 30 for 30 quite often on Netflix and I love it. It is becoming my favorite TV show. However, I have not seen them all, so I will like to know other people opinions on what the best 30 for 30 episode. I want to watch more of them, but I mostly am interested in football and baseball. I have seen a few basketball episodes and enjoyed them like "Jordan Rides The Bus" and "I Hate Christian Laettner". My favorites so far are "The Best that Never Was", " Silly Little Game" " Small Potatoes" and "Elway to Marino". "June 17th, 1994" was very unique. The only one that I did not enjoy was "Broke", I do not like that style of documentaries.

was King of Kong a 30 for 30? Nope. Also, June 17, 1994 was the best.

From March 2015: The easier task is figuring out which 30 for 30 documentaries I didn't like. But if I have to pick my favorites, three come to mind: - June 17, 1994: It's one of the most gripping and unique documentaries I've ever seen. There's no talking heads, no narration, it's just everything being presented to you in the same hectic and chaotic form as it was on that day 21 years ago. It's flawlessly put together. - Hillsborough: I consider this the "Schindler's List" of the 30 for 30 documentaries, because it's so impossibly good but it's also so gutwrenching and heartbreaking that you can only watch it once or twice. I knew very little of the incident and its aftermath going into the documentary's airing last year, so I was enthralled while watching it. But, as I said, it's so emotionally devastating that you can only watch it so many times. It's not the kind of documentary you pop on when you've got time to burn or you need background white noise. - Pony Excess: I think it's better than The U or The U Part II because it doesn't sugarcoat anything or put on rose-colored glasses and tell us how awesome everything was. It doesn't ask the Southern Methodist players or coaches to tell the audience how badass they were or how cool they were. It's gritty and honest and does not pull a single punch.

I already watched the Pony Excess and it was awesome. It is one of my favorites, I like how they didn't hide anything on the documentary. Thank you for the suggestions, I appreciate it.

Pony Excess - This was a documentary on how not to cheat.
Requiem for the Big East - The old Big East with Patrick Ewing, Chris Mullen and Pearl Washington was basketball at it's best. Those games were all out wars.

The Best That Never Was is the high water mark for 30 for 30s. It was the first one that I watched and had to watch again. And again and again. A good sports story that was really well told, and one which probably not a lot of people were exposed to previously.
Prince of Pennsylvania was fantastic. Just gritty truth from everyone about something that not a lot of people at the time knew the real story about. And from what I've heard, it's miles and miles above the Foxcatcher movie that I will probably never watch. That had literally everything, and dealt with sports, life, loss, socioeconomic envy. So much.
Brothers in Exile was great. Hillsborough was great and scaring.

Pony excess, 'nugh said
Requiem for the Big East, basketball that was tough and included legends like Patrick Ewing, Chris Mullin and pearl Washington built a conference but football in a way destroyed the conference.

Prince of Pennsylvania was tremendous. Mental illness is a terrible thing.
Fun fact: Kurt Angle trained here and there with Dave Schultz at Foxcatcher Farms while prepping for the 96 Olympics and once laughed out loud when John DuPont proclaimed that he was going to be "the Dalai Lama of the West", no one else was laughing.
