Finally got to watch the Osaka show to have a complete opinion, and Jesus, the IWGP Heavyweight title match is a lolNJPW moment itself.
- They make Okada play to Goto being a choke artist on the feud, have Goto snap and making it some kind of blood feud over the belt (which could have been great, but without Okada being a full blown heel to the crowd, especially since Tanahashi did the same thing to him, makes it dumb).
- Goto starts attacking Okada on every show they face each other, plus he tries to make Nakamura's farewell about him and Okada, crowd turns on him, and gets on Okada's side, the same guy who just treated Goto like a joke, and with that booking, Goto should be the one getting the sympathy from the crowd.
- Match happens and crowd just doen't really care about Goto, they kind of didn't have a big reaction for the "new" look, which by wrestling standards, should have meant this was a (here comes a Michael Coleish WWE thing) "NEW AGGRESIVE GOTO THAT WE HAVEN'T SEEN BEFORE", and this NEW AGGRESIVE GOTO starts the match with a lockup.
- Match was boring, crowd pretty much undersold Goto's offense, they booed when he was trying to show "AGGRESION" and when he hit the Shouten Kai (which when he hits it the match is just over, he already defeated Okada with it on G1), Okada put his hand on the rope and SOMEHOW, both the crowd and commentary didn't care about it, also i heard commentary say "CHOKINGU" repeatedly during the match, plus as aforementioned, Goto worked Okada's arms and Okada just was still able to hit 4 Rainmakers like it was nothing.
- Okada still wins, making "THIS NEW AGGRESIVE GOTO" pointless, and this proves him to be right about Goto being a choke artist, this is pretty much NJPW's Triple H vs Booker T at Wrestlemania 19, just without the awful racial thing.

I'm pretty salty about that ending, but I'm holding out hope that they'll do something with it at tonight's show. I'd love to see Goto take Okada's offer of a spot in CHAOS as an insult and just all-out snap at the entire situation, but I guess we'll see. They definitely have dangled the idea of doing something big with Goto for too long for me to feel confident in them ever really pulling the trigger.

It's incredibly frustrating. They (Nakamura especially) always mock Goto for having no personality and when he finally shows some they bury him 6 feets under. Won't be surprised if they have him turn on Shibata soon.

I would be less irritated if I knew they were building to something with it, but that is pretty clearly not the case. Even if they did Kishin Goto mauling Okada who barely manages to scrape out a win that would have been BETTER, though I still would have been irritated by the result. What we got is lame as shit. Utter waste of talent.

I'm glad Goto lost but he didn't need to look like such a chump in the process.

Apart from the ME and Jr., it looks like a 'road to' show honestly. But watching it regardless
