There were crickets when Ambrose won?
Funny, I watched the match over twice then and I could have sworn I heard cheers. I also could have sworn I saw people hyped when he won in the replays. Could have sworn I saw multiple threads.

Its the same reason no one would really cheer that hard if Happy Hogan was voted the world's best bodyguard/limo driver while Iron Man saved the entire world from some villain's evil scheme.

People like him as much as anybody on the roster. But a lot of people have a tough time caring about who has the IC title this month.

I wasn't referring to the live crowd reaction (which should have been plain in the OP), but to the reaction on here. There were, at the time I posted, two threads on Ambrose -- neither of them about him winning the title. Those threads collectively had fewer posts than this one. There were dozens of Roman This and Roman That, there was even a Wade Barrett thread about him not being involved in the run-in. But I didn't see anything about "Hey, Ambrose won the IC." I was just kind of surprised. Seems like another of those "give the people what they say they want ... and they don't care and focus on something else" situations. I stand corrected: people were so giddy over Dean winning the IC that they neglected to post about it. |

Second biggest pop of the night for winning a midcard title, only surpassed when the hated boss character who never gets taken out got taken out, on a show where a man somersaulted off a ladder to drive himself and his opponent through another ladder = pretty damn over in my book
