WWE is incapable of putting 2 straight weeks of a quality show together apparently.

Ambrose took so much damage in that match and got the win, he's also IC Champion so really I'm not surprised.
What I'm surprised about is why they thought keeping this League of Nations shit going on was the smartest decision in the book. These guys are f***ing goons that suck at gooning. Ambrose was Brogue Kicked, beaten up by the League of Nations, hit with a top rope White Noise (one of Sheamus's 18 finishers), beaten repeatedly in that match and he still won the damn thing. Sheamus is a 4x world champion and yet he's doing this. They thought Ambrose being in a cage match was going to be a problem and yet Ambrose and Reigns schooled the whole squad. Sheamus still gets a spear at the very end of it for good measure while Ambrose celebrates and a graphics card comes up showing his title defense tomorrow on SD, they stopped talking about the former WWE Champion seconds after he was speared.
This guy's f***ing horrible yo.

I thought she was gonna knee him for a second Ego maniac Stephanie just can't go a week without verbally/physically beating someone down. What good is an authority figure if they constantly never look week on TV?

Stephanie is so violent towards men, they'd be perfectly justified hitting her with some sort of wrestling move.

So, remember when Stephanie was upset that Brock was killing WWE personnel?
I wonder if continuity will apply here.

The opening segment was good and Roman beating people up was cool but this show was pretty rotten. I know it's the holidays and these shows don't matter but at the same time, they should matter because you just crowned a new world champion that you clearly want to be the star of this era. This is the first Raw afterwards, build off the momentum to deliver a good show and set the tone for this new era. Instead, you give us a lame duck nothing show that wasn't even fun to watch.

If they just used chair shots from behind, or wailed on the guy when he's on the ground, they'd be just fine It's the stupid ribs-to-back set up that kills it, especially the fact that everyone does it the exact same way. We know they have to, but the set up goes out of its way to remind us. I prefer when they use kendo sticks more as a weapon and use the chairs to perform moves like injuring a leg or so I don't like kendo sticks either because in a post-Steve Blackman world it really doesn't make sense to even pack up kendo sticks and leave them down there every show. Chairs are the ultimate wrestling weapon because it makes sense for them to be there but wrestlers happen to get a hold of them. Kendo sticks are aesthetically pleasing but their presence makes zero sense in most cases. WWE just need to be more clever about how they implement these things. Roman's distraction was enough that they didn't need the chair, especially if Sheamus was just gonna get up anyways and have that stupid cliffhanger fight.

I tuned in today thinking that WWE finally accomplishing their dream with Roman Reigns would give them some sort of renewed vigor in terms of quality control of their programming. The Roman Reigns stuff was good but that's it, still the same old boring treading water television that keeps me out of this.

Fine, I'll be that guy: Raw wasn't great, but it was a Slammy show. They're never good. But honestly, I liked both Roman and the main event. It wasn't perfect, but it worked. If I focus on the little issues (Dean not going for the pin) instead of the big picture, I won't have any fun.
...And I'm fine with Stephanie beating the shit out of Tom Phillips. I don't have the hatred of Steph many of you guys have, and besides, it was Tom freaking Phillips. It's not like he's someone who matters.

Got to say, I am shocked at the hate I am seeing. Thought it was a fun RAW but I will concede that I had the aid of a time shifting device so I was able to shrink 3:15 into 2:15 or so. Slammy winners weren't too outrageous, nice to see Seth back and the tease for Brock. Roman and Steph at the start was fun, cage match was a Cena Special but they booked it well. Oh and Cena returns next week, though it is against Berto.
