Vince is the only one in the entertainment business who thinks heroes and villains are passe.
Meanwhile, Disney are making shitloads of money still sticking to the concept.

Steph has the worst type of heat that a villain can get, which is go-away heat. We just don't want her onscreen, period.

People say she's a good heel because she gets people to dislike her, but she got me dislike her so much that I stopped watching the product or giving them money, so... good job??

If people are changing the channel and not watching because of you, then you're not doing a good job.

I always come back to Paul Heyman's story of when he was tasked with selling Starrcade. After doing everything he could think of, what was Dusty's reaction? "Where is the money?"
With Stephanie today, where is the money? At least with HHH, you could say that he put over Bryan, the Shield, and now Roman individually, but what about Steph? She constantly needs to be the Baddest Bitch on the show. She needs all the focus, all the praise. She started the Diva's Revolution. She always talks down to the talent. And why? Everyone has to be sacrificed to a person that can't sell a single house show ticket (since she doesn't work the house shows), who doesn't sell merch, and who has had two matches in over a decade - one a mud wrestling match against a talent that was leaving, and the other being the Summerslam match against Brie, which Stephanie won.
She is actively detrimental to the product. Every heel has to kiss her ass, and every babyface needs to get taken down a peg by her. It makes everyone else - the people that are actually supposed to make the company money - look terrible, and damages their money-making potential. She needs to get the f*** off the show ASAP.

No, because there's a right and a wrong kind of hate in wrestling. Wrong!! Heat is heat. The New Day are the worst heels, because they are getting face pops.

It would be better if Stephanie only feuded with divas, this way we could have an Austin vs McMahon type thing with women. AJ would've been great in that role. Bayley will be, although I know I've seen some posts who aren't too thrilled with it.

Ever? Nah, not in a world where Vince Russo existed. Currently, today? Maybe. She's a boring, invincible villain, who wants to be her dad's character, but doesn't get at all what made that character work.

Dixie Carter was supposed to be the top heel in TNA at one point.
So, the answer to the OP is a resounding "no."

Remember that show with the flowers on the table, and they kept putting 2 on one side and that was like "I win bitch"? That was riveting stuff.

There's probably been worse.
But the position Stephanie holds in WWE ensures that she's never, ever going away, so that's a pretty big bummer.

I'm under the impression that Stephanie knows good and well what she's doing, and she knows good and well that it pisses people off. She's working you.

Dixie Carter was supposed to be the top heel in TNA at one point. So, the answer to the OP is a resounding "no." Part of the problem is that Dixie Carter and Linda McMahon couldn't act their way out of a closet even if the door was broken off and burned to ashes & they were pointed in the direction of the opening. Stephanie McMahon is actually a competent character actor, which makes her choice of character all the more frustrating.

New Day's pops are entirely consistent with being annoying, but endearing heels. Stephanie is just toxic and detrimental to anyone she interacts with.

So bravo Stephanie. I don't think the shitty ratings can fall entirely on the shoulders of a non-wrestling authority figure character who doesn't even appear on every show.

I don't think the shitty ratings can fall entirely on the shoulders of a non-wrestling authority figure character who doesn't even appear on every show. SHE'S THE MAIN CHARACTER OF THE SHOW! Every show, how does it begin? Stephanie McMahon (and often HHH) doing a 20 minute promo. Everyone else is below the Great Stephanie. If she knows what she's doing, that's even worse! Like I said, where is the money? She is making everyone else look like a joke, for a character that CAN'T make them money.

The Authority have been a looming presence on WWE programming for years. When they aren't physically there, there's usually involvement in another way, often with one of their surrogates on the phone to them. It's the same old shit.

Yes.
I'm gonna be honest here, I didn't even read the OP. Or anything else in this thread, for that matter.
Yes.
Yes.
f***ing yes.
God damned yes.
Every f***ing word in the world for yes.
Somebody please tell me when we have a concrete "She's never appearing on TV again" confirmation so I can actually start watching the f***ing show again.
